Newfoundland Snowkiting?

Wondering if anyone snowkites or has snowkited in Newfoundland? Specifically in and around the Gros Morne National Park area...Looking at a spring 2022 trip and any info would help

Thanks in advance.

Re: Hardangervidda snowkite accommodation

Haugastol is the place to stay. Might be a bit on the expensive side but the convenience cant be beat...The owners are awesome folks (they're kiters), the food is outstanding. and you're 20 minutes from snowkiting nirvana....I've stayed there 3 times (would have been 5 but COVID got in the way...) a...

Re: climate change / unpredictable weather/wind

I'll say it again...kill this thread...this is a kite forum...not a forum on for pseudo scientists to show how much they don't know. So please, again, kill this thread. and keep this arena for discussions that involve kiting on snow and land....

Re: Paraglider Wants To Snow Kite

I'm one of those who managed to figure out snow kiting (with a sailing, windsurfing, skiing background) on my own starting in 2004. Had to as there are STILL basically no kiters in eastern Maine. Started with a 3m little devil on handles in '04 and then got a 7m '04 Frenzy...(happily I now have a qu...

Re: A beginners experience

Sounds about right Maineframe....I figured it out by myself starting in 2003...never even saw another person snow kiting until 2010...but man do I wish I could have taken a couple of lessons. It would have made everything so much easier. Take a couple of lessons. If only to learn what NOT to do the ...
