Re: Soul with an SS bar

I still have some fun with my 2004 Blade III’s (10.5/6.6) and a Blade IV 4.9. Amazing kites.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

My approach: Lay out the kite with weight on the windward tip. Examine the entire leading edge first, making sure that all bridles are coming down as they should and not being wrapped around the top skin of the kite. Find the A lines on the downwind tip and assure the bridles are coming off in a nic...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

My bars are currently set up for my wave kites. They have extra pigtails on the back lines. Will probably have to change this, which will mean taking them off the flying lines & putting them on the kites instead. That seems more complicated to me than it should be. Re: Bladders in foils

The kitesurf version of the biggest mossie was the Windtools Mosquito Pro KS 9+ (which was a 9.4m2 closed cell version of their land kite and had condoms for intake valves as well as inflated “potato chip bags” for floatation in a number of cells). It was quite a beast, with huge light wind power, a...

Re: Bladders in foils

I had the 9.4 and 5.5. That 9.4 was a beast. The bags were a great invention and using condoms as air intake valves was interesting and worked very well. Loved those kites in their time.

Re: Gong pro MT first impression

That’s good to hear.
Maybe I was a bit overly appalled by my shipping costs which might have been more reasonable than I thought.
And I do like my Gong mPro curve. So much that I now have a large curve wing as well (haven’t had any time on it yet).
Thank you.

Re: Gong pro MT first impression

I’m only guessing, but I think Gong might be charging way more for their overseas shipping than they actually pay the shipping companies, and this is a part of their profit.

I like my Gong products but the shipping to the USA is pretty steep.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Upwinding with an IKEA bag could be tough in 50 knots...and that’s just while walking on the beach.
