From NY its just a 3-4 hour ride and of course way faster to fly

I have the chance to be in brazil for week in april (sau paulo and santa caterina area) I wantto take a week of middle of april then. I am wondering if its to late for the fortaleza area (combuco etc..) since that is so far up north. It might be better to stay in the south of brazil? only been in br...
