Re: Bandit 8m or 9m in combination with 11m?

I'm a big advocate of the 3m gap on the bigger size with a three (or two) kite quiver (e.g. 6,8,11 or 7,9,12). :thumb:

Re: Is kite boarding/ kitesurfing a boardsport or a kite sport?

Can’t kite without wind IT'S A WINDSPORT!!! Too many types of vessels can be used behind a kite to call it a boardsport imo. E.g. Buggies aren't boards. Same goes for windsurfing and wingfoiling. No wind, no play. I will say that I'm actually surprised kitesurfing/boarding was never called windboar...

Anyone else notice Core's new compact surfboard on their teaser vid? I like the newer shape.

Re: Does a 4 line kite work with any 4 line bar?

You can assemble new bars with lines for about $100. I've been interested in making my own bar, but sourcing the parts seems a bit challenging to keep it in that price range. Maybe it's a US thing? Some of the suppliers only have parts that would put a bar over $100. Can you share your tips and/or ...

Re: CSC Shape vs. Short Traditional - Small to Medium Surf

That's all perfect advice - I'm leaning towards keeping my 5'8" for steeper surf when we occasionally get it, and then grabbing a Whip 5'2" or similar. So is the basic concept that you can hold a bit more speed on the hybrid (Evo/Whip, etc.) and then with the compact size really explode off a deep ...

Re: CSC Shape vs. Short Traditional - Small to Medium Surf

I was much like you. I started on a 5'8 traditional shape board. I eventually switched over to the compact shapes when they were first introduced. Once I rode the Vanguard, I was hooked. What I mostly ride are small-medium waves (coast & river swell) and can't imagine ever going back. For the small-...

If Mystic's S/M size is sold out, an alternative s-bar that will work and is reasonably priced is Liquid Force's rope s-bar...https://www.realwatersports.com/product ... reader-bar

Re: Looking to add all-around kite that leans toward wave

Have you considered some of the new(er) kites that are spec'ed with adjustable FRONT bridles? Eleveight's WS & RS, Core's Nexus, and Duotone's 2020 Neo all have adjustable front bridles in addition to the rear attachment, so you can change the flying characteristics for more freeride or surf (or ons...

Re: NKB Trust bar 2012 compatible with the North Vegas 2015?

The Vegas is designed to be flown on a 5-line bar (5th Element bar) so you have a functioning "single-line" safety system. The 5th line is also "loaded" so it can transfer some of the load to the LE for added support. Your 2012 Trust bar is specifically a 4-line bar with a "dual-line" safety system....
