Re: Eleveight 2021 CS Vary Bar with New Quick Release - Quick-Matic II

To be fair I don't see any difference from the previous bar, unless they had minor changes to quick release. New shape of release handle with a pronounce upper ridge for more positive grip and now rectangular vs oval New swivel with what looks to utilize (and what it needs) a bearing and it now has...

Re: Moving from a vegas to a better allrounder

Another kite that you may want to check out is Eleveight's RS. It's a medium/high aspect kite that's adjustable for both freeride/style and wave. I've flown it on the stock setting which to me feels much like the Dice with a hint of Evo. When I put it on the wave setting, the kite has a nice pivotal...

Re: Dakine and Cabrinha unite. Thoughts?

Would this change anything for kitesurfers? I tried to read the press release, but couldn't find much of substance. I think it changes the fear of losing products (and a brand) that serves for many as the best option for kiting. Dakine has a strong following for their harnesses, especially their se...

Re: Dakine and Cabrinha unite. Thoughts?

I’m confused by the Cab/NP branding on some products and not sure who is really making the harnesses, so maybe this puts Cab-Dakine in the harness business without NP. JR286 is the equipment manufacture that Dakine (Marquee) uses for their products. JR286 also works with Nike/Air Jordan, so they're...

Re: Kite compression bag advice

Epic's compression sack is one of the better designed ones that I've seen. I really like the 3 strap configuration. :thumb:

Re: Aftermarket Kite Bags - Any Recs?

This thread wants me to start designing my own kite bags. Three kites. A smart way to wrap a harness around it somewhere. Straps for the board of course. Some "legs" or whatever so that you can use it as a chair etc. Would gladly pay several hundred euro for a bag that would allow me to pack all my...

Rainy Pass Repair is your answer. They can fix and pressure test (zipper test) drysuits and they're also a certified Goretex repair center. :thumb:

Re: Carbon vs Wood made boards

I've been researching this awhile, and building boards awhile. Carbon is really stiff, but its brittle, resists impacts poorly, and once cracked will break apart. S-Glass is stiff too, but has much better tensile strength and hence less brittle and better impact resistance. E- glass is a significan...
