Re: Theft Story? Tell Yours

I got a non-electronic key cut for my kite car, simple to put around neck under a wetsuit and keep the electric fob under a seat... Not 100% secure, but I know somebody who had an aqua pack leak and break their electric key, not only was it a £400 replacement but they also had to, borrow money from ...

Re: Theft Story? Tell Yours

I once had my lunch stolen from a remote beach in Scotland.... Got in from my session to find some bastard had pulled my meticulously made picnic out of my kite bag, half-eaten it and throw the rest in the sand. I was really pissed off until later, when reviewing some GoPro photos I saw 20 seagulls ...

Re: Ride engine 2019 Elite harness: Is there any specific place for knife?

I just got at 2020 Elite and there is a small knife pouch built into the spreader bar padding... Don't think they have changed the bar from 2019 2020 versions...

Re: Missing kitesurfer found after spending night on marshland

what was he thinking kiting in squalls, hail and lightning? In 6C air? Near dark? Darwin award... Were not blessed with perfect conditions here, no trade or thermal winds, If we didn't kite in storms, we wouldn't kite at all. 6c or colder is also standard for winter kiting here, and this time of ye...

Re: Missing kitesurfer found after spending night on marshland

... And as dave just asked, which GPS sat device do you use, I haven't been able to find one with proper waterproof ratings that are small enough to attach to a harness.

You may be wealthy, but for some people, a few hundred quid + sat subscription fees is allot of money...

Re: Missing kitesurfer found after spending night on marshland

I know the guy involved, and while it's not clear 100% what happened yet. He did indeed spend a very cold night out in the marshes, apparently, he made himself a nest of seagrass and wrapped himself up in his kite! He gave the local kite community here quite a shock.

Re: Settings on the Dice

On a slightly related note... Does the 5th line change the flavour of the Dice at all, or is it just an alternative safety line?
