Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

With your explanation I assume I will get a 2-3 knot better low end on the 6m peak, allowing me to leave the 9m ultra at home, and that's all I needed to know  Well, i do not have the 6, but for me the 2-3 knots difference in low end is between 5 and 8... so if that is true for the 6, that would ma...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

if you want to go sub 10 - 1500 cm2 wing instead longer lines give you much more fun. 1500 wings are also really pump-able which add another level of fun - powerless wave to wave. I now tend riding 1500 wing all the time /moses 790 instead 633/ - Its Peak kite size difference between them in power ...

Re: wind proof top for wetsuit recommendations

I use this one. Really like it! Cheap and good. Seals around the neck and wrists are great, so usually I have no water inside, and no water enters my neoprene suit... The drysuit for the poor... Only long swims are not pleasant with it, so not good for teaching if you´re not in a boat... On t...

Re: Pocket Razors

Beautiful work, very nice! :thumb:
Is the kork pad made from the 2mm kork from a roll? What did you do to the edge of the pad? For me kork offers the best feeling of all pads, but it allways starts to chip off arround edges...

Re: Ocean rodeo Flite 14.5m 2017 vs 2020? Low end not the same?

Hi, I Just received my 2020 flite 14.5m two months ago. Not the aluula version My previous kite was the 2017. I use this kite for light wind days. I think the new version is more a freeride kite than a light wind kite. With less low end. Anyone with same kite? With 90kg I used the 2017 between 10kt...

If that is truly your first time ever on a foil, you are doing amazingly well. The vast majority of experienced foilers cannot get that far off a dock
My thoughts exactly! Congrats!!! :thumb:

I am going to try infexion’s use of a thin PU tube with a small loop at the trim cleat to manage it - this seems like a good option to keep the line out of the way.
Can you tell me more about this, please? Any photo?
I have the Infexion quick release and I love it.

Re: making a safety line with a bungee inside - ideas

I have done this but I stitch both ends of the elastic to the Amsteel rope. This is how commercial kite bars are done also. You could do a knot with the main rope and with the elastic inside but it would be bulky and reduce the strength. What's wrong with stitching it takes 2 minutes to do it by ha...

Re: making a safety line with a bungee inside - ideas

The OP, as I understood it, is trying to make a dyneema bungee for a safety line: a dyneema rope, with spliced loops at each end, and with an elastic inside to take up any slack. :thumb: That is what I am looking for, yes! It seems I will have to sew the bungee in, like the normal way of doing it. ...

making a safety line with a bungee inside - ideas

I am planning to build a few safety lines for my bars with bungee inside the brided dyneema. The Dyneema will be spliced on both sides, everything must be straight without knots, so it will move smoothly trough bar hole. Is there a way to fix the bungee on both sides without stiching? All ideas are ...
