The concrete would be quite abrasive if doing a self launch....maybe get a tarpaulin to place the kite on.

Sorry but I have been riding flysurfer kites since 2002 and have never rinsed a kite with fresh water.....and have packed away many a wet kite.....with no observable harm..I still ride occasionally my psycho 3's from 2006 - and they are perfectly fine for such old kites.

You are more likely to get mildew with fresh water....wet salty kites seem to survive ok

You can use a teathered bar /or bag of sand with a climbing quick draw- its a little more fiddly but you essentially back stall the kite to the ground and hook the chicken loop and the steering line s into your quick draw - this keeps the kite in stalled state - sitting on its trailing edge. I have to agree with Stef...in waves with a lei - so easy to get a load of water behind your leading edge and then you have a swim in. - The amount of times I've reversed launched my flysurfers out of a closing wave..... Kites such as the Pulse 2 were a very good wave Kite....drifted well and relaun...

inexperienced people are easier than kitesurfers used to lei....the numebr of people who try and land your kite by grabbing the middle of the kit erather than the tip

Depth of water is critical - I have a lump on my chest due to landing badly in less than a foot of water - though crashing from above 20 mt might be a bit painful
