Re: slingshot 2009 fuels

Confused.com It seems that there is quite a few people out there that have the new fuels but no one has written any real reviews yet ? why There is normally ... Can any one spill the beans for the poor bastards that have not had the chance yet I've had a couple runs on my 9 2009 Fuel. First time ea...

Re: Italians and kitesurf

Actually, as kitezilla points out, this is not a new system. Some years ago (maybe 4?), on this forum, a guy I think in Cyprus or Greece had a step by step (including pics) "how-to". The main difference was that instead of using a fixed-point mountain-climbing carabiner, the guy was using a retracta...

Re: Crash: Stretched Tendons, Intercostal Muscles

kite_n_rnd - I hurt myself in the front rib area, so maybe that's different from your injury? Niall - by the sounds of it, the fibruous attachment is what might have stretched/ripped? But I do recall the doc using those words of "tendons/ligaments" for that area..hmmmm. Well in any event, it's been ...

Crash: Stretched Tendons, Intercostal Muscles

Hooked-in kiteloop gone wrong, 25-30 knots, 7 metre C kite. My bad for looping it a bit too soon, so didn't quite catch me on descent... Anyways, the crash impact was pretty intense, basically the kite pulling one way and me flying the other. My (waist) harness was yanked super hard laterally; thoug...

Re: Fuel Rider Discussion: 2009 available only in 4 Line

Kiting for over 10 years now, Fuels since the 05, and always 4 line mode. So, no problemo for me. But in all fairness, would probably make more sense to have it as an option since there's a lot of riders that live by it. Unless, the kite is specifically tuned for 4 line flying (?) and would require ...

Re: I love my REV, but the depower rope......

I've been riding my 05 SS bar pretty hard for well over a year now - chicken loop rope is still going strong. No issues. I do dip it in the water before starting to ride, maybe this helps. Which reminds: Shymac, bring back the 05 bar :) , or the pro model or whatever Did I mention that before? (and ...

Ok - so does that mean we'll finally be able to get a 17" 2005 bar, or has Ruben hogged them all for himself

This is seriously disappointing news. Very very bad... I spent 2 months in SPI in 2006, and hit Holly on a regular basis (especially on those SE thermal days), an awesome spot. If you can't kite on that side of the Laguna, no more SPI for me :-( All the best guys, hope you at least have a launch som...

I've tried both the 2007 666 129 and the 2008 130 Misfit. I weigh 75kgs. I preferred the Misfit, and ended up buying it. The Misfit is stiffer, better pop, and felt faster overall, things I like in a board. The 666 was more forgiving ("spongy", in my book) and a bit slower, and not the same amount o...
