Re: Naish Pivot vs Fone Bandit

I have only used a bandit years ago, but I have a 10 &12m '19 Pivots and have used them for boosting, waves & hydrofoiling. Hydrofoiling is great, good enough drift and easy to nail gybing - for me the Pivot is the perfect one-kite for everything. If you are on a budget, the Park (not Park HD) is al...

Re: Kevin Langeree Pro model kiteboard

Lol... still have a Naish Flash Mutant !

Nothing wrong with Pro models, as they can offer something distinctive.... i.e. the Flash is the only Mutant I have ever seen with channels on the nose.

Re: From which jumping height the heliloop is mandatory?

V nice thread, I agree with the above comments I would say that up to 12m (as indicated by WOO - so that's 7m in the real world  ), there's no need to heliloop, but it is worthwhile practicing them, as when done well, the landings are really nice and controlled.... but for the "oh Sh1t" jumps,...

Re: Foil Kite vs LEI kite for medium wind hydrofoil

For me, I hated bridles on foil kites. The whole thing about setting up was a complete nightmare and as mentioned, stony beaches and twigs were also problematic. I switched out my Chrono for a similar sized alpha and I’m far happier Setup is one of the best things about a foil kite! Let me guess yo...

Re: Achilles Tendon Support

I severed my Achilles in March '18 (snowboarding) & started kiting in August that year. It was painful doing boosts, wave-riding & particularly hydrofoiling to start off with, but now its no worse than my other ankle (that had multiple fractures to tib & fib still with plates & bolts - kiting injury...
