Re: Moses fuselage to mast screws keeps coming loose

+1 I have always used tefgel on my Moses foils & have never noticed a problem. I slot it together, with clean surfaces & tighten the bolts using a torque wrench set @ 8NM - just to avoid damage - I take the mast off almost every session & as a matter of course, check tightness each session. If you w...

Re: Do you step off gracefully?

PS: There are no safety speeches here... Those who had foot injuries this way, could not surf for weeks !!! And Dave have had issues for half a year now, because of a broken foot :( So it is all about more time on the water, and got nothing to do with safety :thumb: Some will heed advice.... ...

Re: How Strong are Kite-Wave-Boards?

I managed to get a Peter Trow / Stretch strapped quad 4'10 (with a faster tow-in rocker) for high wind boosting & waves - it works v nicely & is v tough... but should be for the cost!!

Re: 9m hooligan kite nexus 2 or supermodel?

+1 - to this question. My mate who does tests for mags, said both were v good for all round use & waves - but for hang time & looping, he rates the Orbit. My only thoughts are that having had a quick go on an 8m Orbit in powered conditions (appx 40knts), I found it difficult to form any opinion othe...

Re: rider personal weight indication in the avatar/signature ?

lol.... a mate developed a web crawler bot (I have no clue really), but it tracked every social media interaction/input down to the minutest detail, then created an algorythm for EACH user - which was then sold to defence/insurance/basically anyone who paid - now he's in semi-retirement in Californi...

Re: How Strong are Kite-Wave-Boards?

Jumping surfboards is great !!! But don't expect them to last longer than 6 months before they snap, as although you land 95% feather-soft, the other 5% kills the board. Plus the loading phase can crack the area of the board around the fin boxes. My preferred option is to have a really nice surfboar...

Re: Are Carbon Bars worth the extra price?

I thought that carbon is prone to point loads, impact damage & can pick up hairline cracks (hence non-destructive testing used on carbon structures).... sounds like the wrong choice of material for a bar, given they are prone to knocks, dings, impacts with amongst other things eye sockets?! ps $600 ...

Re: Reedin Dreamstick - smart bar, very poor color choice

Going back 6yrs or so & later than that, Naish bars were white & I never gave it a 2nd thought. They can get a bit grubby, but the only difference is that a darker bar hides the grime & potentially is more susceptible to heat. A brighter bar at least stands out a bit more & you're less likely to lea...

Re: Lightest kite for foiling

Think - this misses the point a little,,,, whilst I really hate foil kites, once in the air the Chrono is incredible, the Alpha is great, but does not create apparent wind and seem to float without any apparent wind in the same way. That said, the Chrono was a total pain in the @r5e in every other w...
