Re: Do Kite Bags Suck?

I dunno. This guy/gal is asking: Survey Personally I am unsure. I have definitely had bags from some brands I like more than other brands. Even year to year they change. I quite liked Best 2016 bags, but 2017 sucked. The North 2018 bags as so-so. Ozone bags are a little simple, but they work. Still...

@foil nothing, I was trying to do a knot so I can attach a loop. What do you do do make a knot that you can attach a loop: the same 8 knot ?
I’d use a pigtails on the end of the q power line for attaching to the kite.

Re: check your line knife, shock.

I've been using the dakine hook knife. It easily cuts through line.

I believe any double bladed hook knife works well. The single blade maybe not.

Best to test and I do replace once a year or so.

Re: Duotone Project TETA

I thing there is mention of some sensors at the kite. https://www.wind-energ-sci.net/4/41/2019/wes-4-41-2019.pdf I find the force ratio of front to rear lines very interesting. Imagine total force versus speed for different kite sizes. That might put the which kite is more powerful contest to bed. I...

Re: Action Cams in 2019 whats everyone using

Osmo can't use reelsteady go, it's the single best way to stabilize your cam footage, if you care about that gopro 7 is the only option. check out reelsteady. I’d say the camera electronic stabilization keeps getting better. And most of the high end editors have features for stabilizing video. Reel...

Re: Action Cams in 2019 whats everyone using

After testing for a couple of weeks now, I have retired my Go Pro Hero 7 and am very happy with the Osmo Action. Full review is also coming soon, but I feel that DJI understand Watersports better than GoPro does now. The Hydrophobic coating on the Lens Cover and Screens, better stabilisation when i...

Re: mystic stealth bar

I just got mine, The wings seems pretty long.

And the metal attachment clasp is welded aluminum? with no plastic to protect the webbing.

That certainly gives me some pause in considering the long term reliability of this part of the harness.

Re: What I am doing wrong there?

If he is far up wind, the person holding the kite appears to be far downwind which makes the task to raise the kite with one hand uneasy... Positioning and angle vs the wind is not actually the assistant's obligation. I agree it is your responsibility to position yourself. I have had help from the ...

Re: What I am doing wrong there?

someone is holding the kite but it is facing top down toward the earth, so it does not have power, you would need to the holder hold at the middle of the kite, with one hand and walk backwards, that should tension both front lines, and the top of the kite should face directly away from you if the ba...

Re: Ocean Rodeo New Accessories Just In Time For Summer

It fits a Ocean Rodeo Duke just fine, the board is 5'4". I've navigated airports with 2 of these bags, one off each shoulder. It's much easier to navigate and turn corners. Good info but 160cm is. 5’ 3” and I am guessing that is the outside dimensions. That’s why I wanted to see it packed. A lot of...
