Re: Duotone Evo SLS 2024

The way I am reading this is that the penta tx is the same but the leading edge seam is different. I think Dan talked about this seam on the rebel and how it stiffened the leading edge. So that seems to have migrated to the evo. And For 2024, the kite is even lighter thanks to the thinner leading ed...

Re: Duotone 2024 gear release date

I advice against keeping the struts inflated at full pressure on duotone aluulas as the strut leading edge connection is weak. With no pressure in the leading edge, get strained.Always first lower the pressure a bit. I don’t see why that would put more stress on the material. That joining blue mate...

Re: Duotone 2024 gear release date

I didn’t realize sky was also the designer of the new evo sls. I hope he doesn’t get burnt out with all of the design work including surf boards. There does seem to be a pretty robust test team at dtk I have a love hate relationship with the airport valve. One nice feature is that it is fully open a...

Re: Duotone 2024 gear release date

Interesting times at duotone. Ken Winner has moved to wings and sky solbach took over there the neo and appears the rebel. We haven’t heard who boards and more hired to replace Ralf Grosel. With a lot changes in materials it seems like a bad time to lose the two top kite designers. I find it interes...

Re: Duotone Evo SLS 2024

Maybe those wight numbers will change but it doesn’t look to be lighter.

I suppose it isn’t clear if the diameter is small than previous years or smaller than the Dacron version.

And it has been slightly smaller than the Dacron version from the original evo sls.

Re: Nalu Kai QR patent - expired

I’ve always had mixed feelings on that patent. Such a fundamental safety feature.

Aluula is dangerous slippery!
No kidding and especially if it gets wet or your hands are wet.

Re: Why is wingfoiling so popular?

I just saw an ad for wings, 50% to 75% off.

Excess stock? Big changes in design? Over priced starting price?
