Re: Duotone Evo SLS 2024

Maybe those wight numbers will change but it doesn’t look to be lighter.

I suppose it isn’t clear if the diameter is small than previous years or smaller than the Dacron version.

And it has been slightly smaller than the Dacron version from the original evo sls.

Re: Nalu Kai QR patent - expired

I’ve always had mixed feelings on that patent. Such a fundamental safety feature.

Re: Why is wingfoiling so popular?

I just saw an ad for wings, 50% to 75% off.

Excess stock? Big changes in design? Over priced starting price?

Re: Effect of shorter lines to kite’s high end wind range

Shorter lines help as the kite sits further forwards in the window and will generate less power as it flies through the window. It won't change the static pull of the kite however. To me it feels like it changes the amount of wind you can comfortably ride without needing to add trim (as opposed to ...

Re: Why is wingfoiling so popular?

Currently in La Ventana, it's noticeable that approximately half of the people on the water are wing foilers. However, only about half of them are successfully riding on the foil at any given time, with many spending significant periods in the water recovering from crashes or struggling to get up. ...

Re: Aluula 3 strut - Evo vs NVision vs Hypermodel

I thought it was interesting to hear Ralf Grosel say a very important part of aluula is how it stretches and snaps back. And that he felt a lot of aluula kite designs don’t seem to appreciate that aspect. https://kitesurf365.com/mika-breaks-internet-emergency-megapod Ken Winner has also mentioned ho...

Re: Slingshot UFO V3

I think it depends on what you get used to. But I am using 22m lines. And the 4 and 3 can be very tricky when it gets windy and junky as the timing is so fast. I hadn’t noticed the joystick came with 18m lines with 4m extensions. I don’t ride my 6m much but it might be nice on 20m and 18m for larger...
