Re: Jamie to Wipika?

He painted over the ozone logo in black to remove anything Then he added the Wipika logo later, Rather than giving ozone any credit whatsoever despite the amount of support that they gave him over the years. It doesn’t take much to remain civil at the end of contract If your version of events was r...

Re: Jamie to Wipika?

It’s called burning bridges and is stupid. you want to be a professional kite surfer? Be professional What are you talking about? He is not sponsored by any kite or board company. So he uses a non existent company sticker on his board. Paying homage to the Legaignoux brothers and an iconic defunct ...

Re: Duotone defalte valve

I’ve never had a problem deflating a kite from the airport valve. Having the deflat valve in the middle is the natural spot as thst is the easiest place to hold the kite when it is windy. If I had an issue with the valve, I would likely zip tied it. If the webbing has ripped off I would put a simila...

Re: Do you need Aluula Kites?

I had in mind the Hellfish issues/failures, was mainly due to the seem of the LE was not holding up, the weakspot not the material itself which caused the issue, but more construction and stitching related? Combination of Hellfish LE explosions etc at introduction and at that timeframe the pro ride...

Re: Do you need Aluula Kites?

Ultra high molecular weight polyethylene Uhmwpe Has been shortened to UPE High density polyethylene hdpe Is not as strong and is different Quote from OASE forum the designer of"KauperKites "This is an ultra-rigid polyethylene, i.e. a U-PE and not HDPE. I still have to correct that on our website. I ...

Re: Duotone defalte valve

I’ve had it happen twice, one to me on a launch, and the kite begins to loop. And I was launching someone’s kite and saw that the bridle was caught and put it down before launch. I believe the root cause is having the launcher turn over the kite while you are upwind of the kite. I also went through ...

Re: Kite Seat Harnesses

Well there are seat harnesses and there are seat harnesses. For years back into windsurfing days I used the dakine fusion harness type. It comes up mid back. That one you can kind of lean back into. I used to get frustrated when they changed the lumbar support from year to year. The dakine Vega is m...

Re: Airton Cozzolino leaving Duotone

It makes no sense. A brand that sells based on price, and claims to have a low cost strategy, now has spent on one of the most expensive sponsorships. (Unless they've sold given him equity). A brand that has a website that makes it difficult to even buy outside Europe and doesn't currently sell kit...

Re: Airton Cozzolino leaving Duotone

If you go to 22:22 you can see what transpired with someone grabbing his board. No swap occurred, just a hand off. It looks like his buddy just held up the (white) Whip out of pride and support. Others did too. You can see them in the video. At the ceremony Airton had the Whip displayed below him. ...

Re: Slingshot UFO 11m

Maybe I’m over sensitive to it because I frequent a beach where you can’t land single line upside down or pull a top line and drop to leading edge, If you land on an up sloping beach and the wind has a sideshore component, there will be lift and the kite will fly. I’ve watched numerous times as some...
