Home made split board

Anyone converted a normal twin tip to a split board for travel. I have seen a few on website which all look a bit clumsy with big bits of wood holding it together. I am thinking of picking up an old Shinn Monk: 1. Cut board in centre at 45 with a disc saw 2. Seal the new ends with an epoxy 3. Drill ...

7m Naish Pivot

Anyone riding a Naish Pivot (2018/19) 7m as their high wind kite. I currently have a full set of Torch's and thinking of swapping the 7m for a pivot (84kg). What are they like in 35 to 45mph winds, how is the jumping and hang time ?
thanks

They don’t give a damn if riders kill themselves and a death will result in even more publicity, more media coverage. Win-win?
The internet..hey..

Re: Naish Repair Hack

It can't be that hard as there are people in china (?) banging out hundreds of these every week, like all things it's just learning the technique. Looks like the original poster has a neat little tool there to help.

I feel for you there, I have the 2014 11m and love that kite. I would definitely miss 2017, that's the year that lost all the bottom end and was a bit of a turkey. I believe they fixed this on the 2018 Torch. Also keep an eye out for 2015 & 2016 Torchs (great year)

Re: King of the Air 2019 - all info here - riders confirmed

I'm not convinced Jerrie Van De Kop, Ruben Lenten and Sam Light should be given automatic entery every year. These guys are great riders still, but they should be in a video vote category. Great to see Posito made it into this years competition. My money is on Liam Whaley, he looked brilliant last y...

Re: Pivot vs Enduro

No... the octopus system can be repaired by anyone. I really like the internal octopus system, all you need is some PTFE tape and nimble hands. I would not consider the octopus system a negative.

Re: Pivot vs Enduro

I fly Naish Torch's, and have flown my friends 11m (2018) pivot. My thoughts on the pivot: - Grunty kite with lots of low end power, but think you could lose a bit on the top end because of this ? - Fantastic boosting kite, and so easy to land big jumps on. It really puts you down butter smooth - Ea...

Pipa is an amazing rider, great video. I was also really impressed with Olly Bridge and Sean Murphy (that sand dune jump is nuts)
