Re: Trying to get into Kiteboarding is this a good deal?

Its a great deal if they are paying YOU 800$ to take it away from them and dispose of it properly. That stuff is old really really old. package deals are tough unless they are kite quivers. The bar is old looks like a old school safety. The harness looks like its from the 80's windsurf conversion, h...

Re: Moto, Evo or Pivot ?

No comment on the flying, but the inflate/deflate on the Pivot will be better than the others. The only disadvantage of the octopus is repairs (albiet a hugely overstated issue). Octopus system is super easy especially if you have a pivot from the last 4 years. One of the easiest kites out there to...

Re: naish pivot question

I'm pretty sure i already posted this. The north trust bar is the ticket on the pivot. 2 adjustable bar throws on the bar! one in the iron heart and the second in the adjustable slider. over extending your throw sucks as you know. Love the naish bar too, but when adjustablity is a must nothing beats...

Re: Naish Pivot

Hey Craz, I'm also using a duotone clickbar with the Pivots (just bought a 2019 9m!) but was told to remove the Y connector so the front lines are 'open'. You prefer a higher split point? And which point do you use as there are multiple options.. I still use my 2015 naish bar with 20m lines in wave...

Re: Naish Pivot

Yeah Love my pivots. I mostly foil but also snowkite. Have a quiver of pivots and have a BTB naish bar. Also use a slider loop and North/Duotone bar. I prefer the north/duotone bar the most. The high Y configuration makes the kites much more stable, forgiving and predictable. Like you said if you li...

Re: Specific grease for Hydrofoil

These are the only products i use on my foil hardware. Never seize and way better than lanolin tefgel. Extreme conditions that have been used in marine environments for decades. Goes on clean and stays clean. www.sfrcorp.com https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GK7GHYO https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0041OXPDA m...

Re: Chinese KB Hydrofoil : 300 USD + shipment

Reports of the China foils seems to show quality is highly variable. Not surprising! I think the best risk avoidance is to only buy from a seller after getting a positive first-hand report from another buyer. However, I suspect the cheap Chinese knock off market has died off for many of the bargain...

Re: Chinese KB Hydrofoil : 300 USD + shipment

1. Which type of plate was the one from JNJ that broke quite easily? I was not able to follow so easily through the posts! Was it the plate seen in Option 1/2 or in 3? The plate in 1/2 appears to be quite shallow, but possibly more reliable since it is made of fiberglass (can flex a little bit bett...

Re: Need Help with using P-tex

Those look kinda like core shots. I think what Kitejumping is trying to say is you might need a base welder extrusion gun to fix those deeper scratches. The best way to fix is to notch a v into the plastic to get better penetration kinda like welding then get a base welder and fill the spots. base w...

Re: Foilers vs Kiters proportion now

Around here so far i've seen around 40% moved to foil and another 20% has a foil but scared to ride it or wants the right conditions to learn. Me i've given up all other disciplines I keep wanting to go back to surf board but haven't. The TT's are completely out might even throw them away or make a ...
