Re: Ram air first session damage

If your lines was tangled, as you said (kite was, same thing), and you pull the bar, or roll the bar up and pull even a few meters, when water inside, it seems ALL load was on this very connection point, so it ripped apart. Bad luck, as usually load is spread over many connection points yes, but if...

Re: Ozone alpha on foil

If money is no object and you're looking for ultimate low-end then a lightweight foil kite is best. It will keep flying in about 2 or 3knots when other kites fall. Such kites as Ozone Hyperlink/ Ozone Chrono/ Flysurfer Soul are great options. A kite like the Ozone Alpha is also a good option... and...

Re: Ram air first session damage

This is for sure the reason of the damage. There are several videos about packing up a foil kite in deep water, if you're sure you can't relaunch your kite pack up and them swim back to the shore. I did not pull a kite full of water on the shore... of course this would damage a kite... I knew these...

Not that easy repair, unfortunately. I mean if done professionally, not making some hack fixes. If done properly there's no (greater) risk it will damage on that point again. Kite flying properties won't be affected.
it will be sent back to the factory ... only drawback this will take months...

Re: Ram air first session damage

Well it's an easy repair and the kite should look and fly like new. The repair will not weaken the kite at all if done well. Can't blame the manufacturer for not providing a warranty after a crash, no matter how light. Maybe it's not the right type of kite for you? if this is normal, than 90% of th...

Re: Ram air first session damage

..... pulling a foil kite onto shore when it is a bag of water. The weight is deceiving and significant and puts tremendous strain on seams. Not saying this is the case but a manufacturer has no way of knowing what actually happened.... Sure... but I did not do this ... did not pull the full kite o...

Re: First impression of Gong M Pro

Has anyone had any luck ordering foil setup from Gong with mast of different length then specified on the website? They sell alu masts 45, 65, 80, 90 cm. I wanted to order kitefoil setup but instead of alu mast 90 cm to order it with 80 cm but I am getting nowhere when communicating with customer s...
