Re: control bar reel??

There used to be such a product, very early on in the sport. A reel bar made by the inventor of the Flowbee (hair cut device) could do exactly what you want, but I believe it was pre-depower kites. I remember both lines could be ratcheted in by pushing and pulling the bar, then there was some sort o...

Re: (almost) tool-less foil setups

But the lift foils still needs a mallet to remove from the mast. No amount of grease has eliminated my need for a mallet.

Re: Kites available in sizes smaller than 4m?

Looking for thoughts on using a 4m Switch Element with a Lift 170 at Sherman Island (summer wind averages about 20-25mph). If too much (kite or wing), would you recommend getting a 3m Element, or a Lift 150? Thanks for your input! I have a 4m Element. It's an excellent kite. I highly recommend it. ...

Re: Losing the front hook

I'm down to a simple piece of strapping. It runs perpendicular to the length of the board, just enough slack to put a bootied foot under. All the way forward, foot comes out once I'm up. Came from years of strapless SB, so it feels fine. I'm really lazy; this is on a 42" DC with a carbon foil, flat ...

Re: Hello ! It's Lou

Hi everybody, sorry for my negative comments about hydrofoiling. I just think it's dangerous sometimes. I guess I just prefer a board. Especially finless small boards. They are really fun and easy to learn. I've been doing it for 20 years and I'm disappointed nobody understands or followed..maybe a...

Re: Gin Marabou Water Relaunchable Single Skin

I would really like to get feedback from you regarding the 12m. Your weight, wing size, wind speed, etc and how it performs.

I have a 4m on order, hoping it is as stable as they claim.

Re: Drying out inside of kite

Salt crystals can abrade the fabric and bridles. Guess how you treat your kite depends on how much room you have to dry it off. I leave a car out of the garage, string up the foil across, rinse, inflate, let dry. Not every time it gets wet, but when we have dry air conditions. If I didn't have the r...

Re: No information and lack of exposure

I actually don't understand why foil riders are all switching to foil kites. I only dabble in foil board riding but I don't really get why a foil kite is any better for mowing the lawn on a foil board. But since I only dabble in foil ridding I claim ignorance. I've only been foiling for the last 8 ...

Re: Lift 170 classic/fish feedback?

Just got out on the 170 Fish for the first time today. Background; Newbie, as I've been riding the 170 'classic' since I started foiling this past September. I can jibe on both sides, regular or goofy. I cannot switch my feet. Flat waveless water, 9m foil in 8-15mph. The fish is a very different win...
