Re: Kitech FRS

I fly my 6m FRS anytime the wind is 15mph, with lulls not below about 12mph. Really fun kite, very stable, not super fast (but fast enough for the foil). My favorite kite to fly. Usually 21m lines, but 17m work fine if the lulls are not too light.

Re: Flotation

I've always worn mine over the wetsuit. The Dakine Kicker provides just enough to keep my head up, but only in sea water, not in fresh water.

Just ordered the Forward vest mentioned above. It's about time. Peace of mind for my love ones.

Re: Best folding and line management technique

I use a line organizer to keep the four kite attachment points separate from each other, then tuck that into one of the inlet openings of the kite. Put all the bridles on the kite, fold in half, roll. The bar has a similar organizer, so attachment of lines to kite is quick. Attachment of lines to ki...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Hi all you Peak lovers, I´m super happy with my 5 m² Peak4. Now I´m contemplating on getting the 8 m² version as well. The 5 m² works for me from 11/12 kts until maybe 17 kts (75 kg / Moses 633). Will the 8 m² cover 8/9 kts to 12 kts? Would be very interested to hear about your experiences regardin...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

I can't offer a number, but what I can say is two days ago, as the wind dropped at our flat water spot, the 8m P4 was the last man standing. Outlasted a 15m Chrono and a 12m Kitech FRS. All three of these riders are experienced light winders. Also outlasted a 17m OR Aluula Flite, but I don't know t...

Re: Lift 200 for kiting

Exactly what JTS said. The surf is a bit more lively, better low end, and not as fast.

Yikes, at least try to have *some* history of credibility when dissing a brand.

Re: Small lei

I found the 6m Nova to be twitchy (nose collapse prone) in lighter winds than 20... My 6m FRS has been wonderful in gusty winds. Lower aspect than a Soul, and I suspect thicker. I have a 4m Kitech FRS on order. Didn't even know he made a 4m until I asked. I have the smaller Switch Element6 kites (3,...

Oxyclean. A warm garage to dry things in. And a bootie dryer
