Re: Gadgets on harness

Short board leash for swim ins is on the harness. Around my neck, car key and whistle. In the pocket on my flotation aid is a mesh laundry bag for wrapping the kite up in the water.

Re: Super cheap but good board - board prices are insane

Exactly, so why not build it yourself The opening in the board just seems like an accident waiting to happen with an ankle. Maybe that risk is the appeal. Surprised I haven't seen a large balance board used for a kiteboard. I looked around on craigslist once, didn't really find anything worth the t...

Re: Foldable mast

At home I put the entire foil and board in my car without disabling anything it's faster than any quick system and lighter. It's a full carbon setup only 6 kg. These things add weight and you loose rigidity it's a problem I don't have. Maybe for someone with a small car. Or someone willing to use t...

Re: Minimum buy-in: $2500

A friend was buggying on a beach in Florida when someone asked him how much all that gear was. His reply was 'you can't afford it'. The person insisted they could, and asked again. His reply was repeated to the guy. Back and forth they went. What was meant was if the guy couldn't see the value in th...

Re: Aluula Aeris: an even lighter Aluula

7m wing is $3500. Any predictions what a 17m kite will cost? I wasn't around for windsurfing's demise, but is this similar? Prices will be nuts at first, but will come down eventually. Look at the prices of used/closeout kites/wings now. Cheaper than ever. Those who just have to have it immediately...

Re: The Next Revolution - Introducing the New AK Collection

I did a search for 'kite' and it showed up in the foil board wording. But what you speak of reminds me of a 'kite foiling' video from Lift (as described by them) that had no kites (only wingers). I think we are viewed as too hard or complicated for people interesting in foiling. Odds are, if you kit...

Re: Triton Foils releases the first accessible monowing: Triton T1

Just bought a second hand T1. Need a mast and plate. Any tips for inexpensive ones in EU? Axis looks like high quality and not so expensive. Are indiana masts compatible? Seen some inexpensive ones of those too... Slingshot Hoverglide? Cheers. Taking a quick look at prices locally and across EU sto...
