Nice! Still getting after it in summit too, coverage was good this afternoon but the wind got weird after 30 min or so. Lots of recent wet slides, watch out for cornices.

Re: Inflation funnel

Yep or fill it on the ground before launching with a few very light pulls on the front lines.

Re: Flysurfer Soul 12 difficult to handle at the top end

Get a big bar with a very long throw then set it so when you pull it all the way in the kite stalls. I've had times with my 18m sonic, 20m aero, and 21m aerov2 when the wind changed (typical in the mountains) and I was WAY overpowered getting back to my launch area. The trick at that point is: 1. Ke...

Re: Peter Lynn Nova

I got my 8m and took it out snowkiting yesterday evening. Inflates easier than the Aero v2, really smooth power delivery and you don't have to worry about redirecting it back during jumps as quickly as you do with race foils. I flew it on my 60cm bar with line extensions (bigger bar and longer lines...

Re: Anyone here windsurf foil?

Thanks for all the info everyone! I'm still snowkiting every day and probably will be for another month or two (there's still like a 10ft+ base above 12k ft) but one of these summers when we have a bad snow year think I'm going to get one of those 3 in ones.

Re: Anyone here windsurf foil?

Yeah, so kiting isn't banned but swimming is, since the water barely gets above freezing they only allow watercraft that can keep you 100% out of the water. So no twin tips or normal foil boards. The other idea I had was to pick up one of those old high volume fone race boards, but I think it would ...

Re: Anyone here windsurf foil?

Those big wings will all work with a board like the Naish hover 142? Kiting isn't banned on the lake, but to go on the water need a board with a large enough volume to support my weight with no wind.

Re: Anyone here windsurf foil?

Yeah, more wondering if anyone here has tried kiting with a SUP foil or Windsurf foil board.

Anyone here windsurf foil?

So the closest legal water kiting spot to where I live with consistent wind is like 4 hours away, but I live right next to a big reservoir that allows windsurfing for half the year when it's not frozen (I snowkite on it the other half of the year). They allow SUP / windsurf boards / canoes / kayaks ...

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

Still getting after it, have to be careful of cornice avalanches but coverage is excellent.
