Re: Borneo, Kota Kinabalu

Re-starting this old thread, since I was looking for this info, and I am here now. I have a stopover in Kota Kinabalu, and stay in the Shangri La's Tanjung Aru Resort And Spa. There is a large public beach just south of the hotel (just outside the fence), with a "members only" windsurfer centre. Thi...

Re: Homemade split boards

All,

I first built a home-made one, using parts of an old Nobile 666 to strengthen another Nobile 666. The board works sort-of, but got too heavy, so I then bought their SplitBoard.

I did a review of the Nobile Splitboard here: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2383511

Review of the Nobile NHP SplitBoard

I have now had 4 days on the water with my new Nobile SplitBoard, - and I have to say I am impressed. The short story: Fantastic for travel, good light-wind board, and absolute capable for freestyle. Packaging: It is a bit larger than expected, with each piece at 70x42 cm. It does not fit in a small...

Re: Taiwan Best Kite beach :Suao Neipi beach

Thanks,

I don´t have time for a trip to Penghu this time, - maybe another time, - looks great.

The address: for Nico for Guanyin http://nicowsf.wix.com/ does not work unfortunately.

Re: Taiwan Best Kite beach :Suao Neipi beach

Hmm, Winter: Salun or Baishawan just gives me the city when searching on Google maps.

I will be in Taiwan next weekend, and was wondering if I sould bring my gear.

Where should I go, will there be wind, - and will it be other kiters there?

Taipei, Taiwan?

Hi, Seems I will be getting some time off near Taipei the weekend after next. Can someone tell me if it is worth bringing my gear, - and where to go? From some older posts I see that GuanYin (or KuanYin) are close to the airport, - and very windy just now. How are the conditions at this time of the ...

Chios Greece now?

Hi, Seems I have the possibility to get 3 days in Chios, Greece this weekend (on my way to a business meeting). I did not find much on Chios Kitesurfing anywhere, - so I need some tips. Beaches, - someone mentioned Kontari, But how is it on North winds (forcasted)? Nice hotel near a kitespot? Will t...

Re: f-one 2012? bandit5?

faster with reduced weight would be great for lightwind. - Hope they also reduce the rubber-things that are on the depower and on the QR, - now they are big enough to hurt when you get wipped, and can tangle around the lines. - What about exchanging the pullys for the ceramic or titanium 8-figures t...

Re: Kite Looping out of control dragging the rider

Yes, - this can happen to any kite, but was a special problem with the Bandit I and DOS, as they had longer bridles that easier could catch the wingtip. Normally, the kite will crash, - maybe loop one or two times, - fortunately endless looping is rare, and also, normally the looping stops if the ki...

Re: How to replace the neck seal on an Ocean Rodeo Pyro Pro

hehe, - a divers shop could have been easier, - but I wanted to try it out. I attach two pictures of the bowl, - it's about 70,5 cm in circumference. Also, I have now used it twice in 5 degrees C, and it seems to hold up well. The video is good, - but slightly different, since he uses aquaseal to gl...
