Re: How likely am I to break a Apple series 3 watch?

I have kited with the Nike band on my Series 3 for two years, many times without a wetsuit and in salt and fresh water. Not a single issue. Not sure you need the sport loop.

Lost Shinn Monk Outer Banks

DBD9E726-5BE2-44F9-9EF5-1CA2A7FFA14F.jpeg Lost my Shinn Monk Gold Digger 133x41 this evening. I landed between Barton’s (Hatteras Island Surf and Sail) and the KOA and pushed my board towards shore from 20m out with pretty much on shore winds. By the time I packed up the kite it was gone. If it dri...

Re: True wind range of 9m Switchblade 2016

My 9m SB is a 2016. If the winds are a steady 15 I can have fun on my twin tip at 80 kg - can’t be any lulls though. It can be ridden to at least 30 knots with some experience. For me 17 to 25 kts is ideal.

Re: Black marks on my hand off Cabrinha 2017 control bar back lines

I’ve flown Cabrinha for years and every new bar with black lines has done this. It is definitely just the dye, nothing to worry about. You will get this get a while too. Cabrinha lines are great, they don’t tangle easily and they last well.

Re: PEI - A Kiteboarding Discovery Film from Cabrinha

I’ve spent lots of time on the Outer Banks and done two summer kiting vacations to PEI. The people in PEI are great, it is inexpensive and there are shallow water kiting spots no matter the wind direction. The shallow water spots have warm water in the summer. I also kited in the ocean in PEI (Gulf ...

Re: What’s the best board you have ever tried?

My favourite board was the Mako for a long time, I had the 140 and the King for a few years then sold them. I bought a Shinn Monk and rode that for a few years (nice board) and then in 2017 bought a Mako 150 and pretty much stopped using the Monk. Bought a 2018 Mako 150 this summer because my son wo...

Magdalen Islands are beautiful but book your ferry crossing well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Re: Switchblade 11m experience?

I have a 2017 11m SB. I would agree with the comment that a 12m would be better if you already have a 9m. I use my SBs strapless in onshore conditions and they are fine. I also use them with my twin tips and love the air they give me. I tried the FX but the glide wasn’t there. Although the SB is not...
