Re: Surfr. New kitesurf jump app?

Does the Woo register more errors if the speed up and down is fast? Local lads swear that a faster more explosive take off gets a higher reading compared to a gentle up and down

Re: Disappointed with Ozone v4 and v5, again!

My guess was that it was to do with how the kite rolls and where the valves were placed for the standard fold into thirds when packed away. No, I think it is when the kite flexes as you turn it, the tubes are too short so don't flex much, then they wiggle the black bladder nipples and eventually th...

Re: Surfr. New kitesurf jump app?

If it is an open source project i can help with the development of an smartwatch app or other functions. Thanks! Once we have a stable first version out, up & running we definitely would appreciate any help as long as it fit's the vision for the app. And a smartwatch app is sure part of that vision...

Re: Surfr. New kitesurf jump app?

It will be interesting how accurate this is for jumps. A WOO with a purpose built accelerometer should be a lot more accurate than the built in accelerometer in a phone. My experience is the GPS in a phone (both Apple and Samsung) is very inaccurate versus a specialized GPS. With that said, this sh...

Re: Woo Screen App - real time jump display

You should set up a website that all the sessions will be uploaded to. The Woo app doesn't do a very good job of collating all the sessions into interesting categories. If I don't kite for a day I miss the nice emails that get sent out. You could have real time updates during a session. If me and my...

Thinner will fly better
In your imagination this happens. In real life - no.

Now, please provide some evidence that a super thin LE flies better.

I can't respect why tube kites all look so similar. You could use a far more elaborate bridle and have a LE so much thinner. Kite would challenge Aluula.
Thin tube requires much higher pressure. Also changes the flight characteristics.

GoPro mounts for surfing

I took my GoPro out with a mouth mount in failry large surf. The waves look tiny. I'm always dissapointed with what my footage looks like. How can I improve it? Do backpack mounts work? Board mounts? Or is GoPro footage always going to be boring?

Re: Tarp kite challenge

I made an LEI out of tarp. It flew fine for a couple of sessions but it soon stretched and became crap. Invest in some better material, then you can use it more than once! Used ripstop is almost free (old kites and sails)
