Re: DIY HF Mast Screws Connection?

I reinforced my board with stringers that went from the tail to about 30cm past the connection point. Then I drilled oversized holes, filled with epoxy/carbon mix. Then re-drilled at M8. I run a bolt through the board and foil base plate, there is a nut at the bottom. So from the top: Bolt head (hex...

It looks like my 2007 Waroo. The 2008 Waroo had multiple back line adjustments labeled A, B, and C, not seen here. The 2010 Waroo is a different shape altogether. When they made it a delta kite for one year.
The older 2010 waroo had really dodgy bladders. 2007 / 08 were great kites.

Re: F-One bladder issues (again :( )

That’s an easy fix, nice that your kites served you long that even plastic valves started cracking. I’d either order replacement bladders or for half of the price you can use replacement valves. Second option is cheaper but requires more work on your end. Well, the kite has sat in some guys house f...

F-One bladder issues (again :( )

I have two bandits, versions 7 (10m) and version 8 (7m), both have had terrible bladder issues. The little nipples keep breaking. My 7m has now had ALL of them break, that's a total of 6, my 10 has had 3 break. F-One don't support kites that old, they only keep bladders for the last two releases. Th...

Re: switch kite alternatives

I've been using Zeeko Rev-s in smaller sizes since 2016 - that is side by side with Airush and Ozone kites - and honestly - Zeeko gear was on pars and sometimes better in terms of flying characteristics and build quality. Especially vs last years Ozones - which fly great, but at the expense of very...

vacuum ... or something else

Warning, a lot of stupid random thoughts ahead. So, I don't want to buy a vacuum pump to vac-bag my parts. I only make a wing or two a year. And my house is small so I don't have anywhere to keep all this stuff. I have been using a hand pump, a car brake-bleed vacuum pump. It's a pain to use, but it...

Re: 3D Printed Wings - please post your experiences here

My wing is printed. I want to laminate and vacuum bag it, would you wrap the 3D print in carbon wrapping it around the leading edge. Or would you put one layer on the top and another on the bottom, vacuum, then trim the seams off after? My previous wing (plywood core) split along the seam and opened...

Re: How to describe the windstrength

Fuckin howling man, like my hair was all like WooOOoOOo and the tea was blown right out of my mug. I took my pants off and they flew into a tree. Man. You missed it. It was epic. Bleddy epic, man.

Re: 3D Printed Wings - please post your experiences here

What software are you using? I've tried SketchUP and it works OK for building a wing, but I can't figure out how you punched square holes through the wing? Could you give me some tips please :) Second question, did you do anything to the surface of the wing before laminating it? I am thinking of dri...
