Re: Just now joining the fun. New kite surfer alert

You went straight for the top notch expensive gear nicee! :D I moved to Clearwater Fl about 4 years ago and didn’t know a thing about Kitesurfing. I was driving to Miami not long after moving here and on my way to the Skyway I saw all these kites to the east side of the causeway. I have been wanting...

Re: Seeking advice for first board purchase

146 is a big board, good for learning while still being able to be used for freestyle. A good alround board for you is may be like a 142 x 42 or 43 . If you plan on getting 2 boards then the 142 will be you everyday board and then may be a 150 or 155 for light wind. Heres a tip , Dont get a big flat...

Re: Which Twintip?

Alot of people never realize how much different one type of board is from the other . Alot of people buy garbage boards just because its cheap or a good deal and never know what its like to have a solid nicely rockered board under their feet. IT really ups the fun factor by 10 :D . Airush Apex for t...

Re: Which Twintip?

I didnt like the radical 6 in chop or powered riding at all its more of a medium to lower wind board in my opinion. It just didnt feel very solid under those conditions. See if you can find a flysurfer radical 6. Great board. Great for jumps and great for rough water Like the monarch very controllab...

All waist harnesses ride up i think. May be if u crank them really tight but then thats another problem. Stick with a seat harness.

Re: Newbie questions getting started on land and then water?

Forget the leis if ure gonna be on land. its much more eaisier to handle a foil kite when it comes to land and snow. ITs gonna be a pain launching and landing an LEI and they get easily scratched up on the snow or dirt. The names u listed are very good kites i would start with the apex for a really ...

Re: My legs are too tired - am I doing something wrong?

Liquidforce spacecraft , I belive thats a hybrid directional board. Mayb thats your issue. The board is not designed to be ridden in both diections in the same way . But try moving around the footstraps so that your stance changes , As a beginner you should just get a regular twintip . Thanks for th...

Re: My legs are too tired - am I doing something wrong?

Most knee and leg knee problems are cause by your stance on the board or just the board itself. try switching around the bindings, put them closer together or wider apart or the adjust V angle . And see if it goes away. Also be sure to fly the correct size for the wind speed ex smaller board in high...

Re: Why does Core xr 4 fly better on a core bar?

Keep in mind different line lengths amd quality when comparing bars. I flew the same kite on 2 different bars and was surprised how slow and sluggish one felt over the other , One had original premium lines and was 21m and the other bar were no name lines and 3m longer. I chalked up the noticeable d...
