Re: I'm less addicted, kiting less and now i'm a better person because of it.

I feel what youre saying. I think anything thats addictive makes you loose a part of yourself . While I would consider kiting a good addiction I think its only natural to pull back after a few years. Kiting can be very hard on the body and after a while its what does a lot of people in . I myself ha...

Re: What is the lowest wind you can kite in?

While a good foil kite can probally fly in 4 knts I think u need about 6knts to kitesurf and stay upwind and probally 5 knts on a hydrofoil. this can be measured in onshore or slight sideshore wind with an accurate windmeter and zero obstructions upwind . Lei need about 8 knts . Any claims lower are...

Re: flysurfer soul: I need to know 3 things.

I would have to agree that there is not a huge difference in foils compared to lei of the same size nowadays . You may get 2 m up max and this will probally be noticeable only in the lower or top midrange. at the middle range it can be close because of the fact that the equivalent lei would be faste...

Re: New lines / weird problem / Ozone

Sometimes lines shrink or stretch I had a similar problem that even when pulled the release line was causing one of the center lines to be a little shorter than the other . measure the new lines to make sure thyre all equal then u can add a pigtail to the release line or replace it.

In 7 knots it is perfect, although on the heavy side so you have to be able to keep it flying all the time.
Will it have problems staying in the air in 7 knots in your opinion?

Re: HQ kites are a bad joke

Dude ure ranting about nonsense , just take the kite out on a decent wind day and fly it 4 knts is NO wind in kiting . Im sure they dont make a manual for every single kite in the lineup so while 4 knts is not suitable for a 4m kite u can actaully fly may be an 8m or 10m open cell in that wind. :ide...

Re: HQ kites are a bad joke

I dont think any closed cell foil kite will fly in 4 knts. especially a 4m kite. I think your post instead of showing a problem with HQ kites show your inexperience. Most closed cell kites will begin to fly and be stable in about 6 knts and that would be in a bigger size. A 4m will probally need abo...
