Re: Cabrinha Switchblade 2013 vs 2019

From 9m I would go to the 12m especially at your weight. The 2013 were slightly less powerful but quicker turning.
Maybe the contra is better choice for light wind though.

FireWire Evo is a great board - the shape easy to ride and do foot switches on. Comes in 4-10 20l

Re: Have I Made A Terrible Mistake?

10m is good for 15-25 mph with twintip.

You could do 9 and 12 or 10 and 12 depending on wind conditions. I have 8 ,10,12 and use mostly my 10 in the conditions you described.

Re: switchblade bar pressure

I had 2011 and 2016 - 2016 was much lighter than 2011 especially for turning.

Re: Pivot evolution

I have only used 2019/2020 model. I like it for both twintip jumping and strapless surfboard. So it fit what I was looking for.

There is a new review from that You can check out as well.

Re: Ventura kite tear repair

Airtime at hood river will give you a quote online with a photo. They are great but shipping will be around $60.

It may not make sense to fix if you are thinking of getting a new kite soon though- especially if this is a 2013 kite.

Re: Canrinha Drifter 2019

I wouldn’t get the drifter for a twintip.
It’s amazing on a surfboard but just ok on a twintip.

Now for mowing the lawn and small jumps it is fine.
The switchblade and the moto are better suited for free ride and jumping. I also heard that the drifter is not great in 12m.

Re: Playa Del Carmen March

Check out playa mujeres 30 min north of Cancun.
Long uncrowded beach and can take winds from all directions. Great resorts but not much nightlife.

I stayed at the finest and beloved.

Re: Boom! Cabrinha has been sold!

Perhaps management wanted out - cabrinha minus Pete and team is worth less than current cabrinha.
