Re: Playa Del Carmen March

Check out playa mujeres 30 min north of Cancun.
Long uncrowded beach and can take winds from all directions. Great resorts but not much nightlife.

I stayed at the finest and beloved.

Re: Boom! Cabrinha has been sold!

Perhaps management wanted out - cabrinha minus Pete and team is worth less than current cabrinha.

Re: Naish Slash on Twin Tip

I wouldn’t buy a surf specific kite for a twintip. I tried the cab drifter before and didn’t enjoy it on a twintip - not enough power and lift.

Re: naish pivot 3 set quiver: 12/9/7 or 12/9/6

I would do 12 9 7. I have 12 10 8. I can ride the 8 gusting to 40mph but that’s the max. So 7 would be fine for you. 6m is good when the wind is consistently 30knots and above. I went from switchblade to pivot last year since I started doing strapless surfboard (while still twin tipping ) and I foun...

Re: 2020 Duotone Evo for beginners?

You will not outgrow the Evo.
Not sure you will need a 14m right away.
I am 185 and use 8 10 12 quiver. If the wind is below 14-15 knots I don’t go. It depends on your wind conditions though.

Re: Naish Pivot 9 or 10?

I am about the same weight and use the 10m in the 15 - 25 knot range ( twin tip and surfboard) . I don’t think I can go much below 15 knots on a surfboard. The 10 is much faster than my 12 pivot. I got the 10 to have good boosting on the twintip and still have fun on surfboard. If you want the low e...

Re: Naish Pivot 9 or 10?

If you are on a surfboard then 9m will be probably better and more equivalent to your current quiver.

What wind speed do you fly your 9 and what’s your weight ?

Re: Opinions / reviews burton step on bindings and boots

I have the step ons but don’t snow kite. I think they are really good but you do not to be standing in order to click and in. So much easier than other bindings - no need to seat or bend down. If you get them make sure to get the photon boots. The lower end rulers are too soft and they hurt my ankl...

Re: Naish Pivot vs Fone Bandit

I agree that the pivot has a higher bar pressure than the reviews indicate. The bar pressure to turn the kite is light and the turning speed is much quicker than the switchblade. The pivot has great boosts and linear power regulation.
