Re: Predict a Flurry of rotator cuff and related shoulder injuries associated with wing foiling

Highly recommend to put your wing leash attached to a waist belt much safer better than getting pulled by a limb in waves or high winds much better pulled by waist.found that out luckily before I tweaked my shoulder on a windy day.Surprised the wing companies still promote the wrist attachment leash...

Re: Ensis wing quality issues? handles detached

Pictures of mine detached handle https://imgur.com/a/20PUxBC Update from Ensis They offered to replace the 4.5, but that will take 2 to 3 weeks as they are not in stock. Or get the 4.5 repaired and the (not broken yet) 5.2 preventive reinforced. I have chosen for the latter as that will take less t...

Re: ENSIS wing quality issues, handles detached

Everyone I know who has Ensis V2s has ripped the handles off at least one of theirs. -- Gunnar Yes same with my 5.2 V2 the very front handle goes into the webbing reinforcement around strut not far enough and only hits the 1st row of stitching instead of hitting 2nd row as well eventually fails.you...

Re: Note: no more cars allowed to drive at Cauipe Lagoon, Cumbuco, Brazil

Been great time when you could drive directly at the lagoon, and park your car next to the kiting spot. These times are over...police controls it and will fine you. You have to park downwind, and walk to where you want to set up your kite. Sad, but better for nature...too much garbage has been left...

Re: Wing harness - post yours

First session on the new NSI minimalist harness yesterday and must say went pretty good, was little concerned about the plastic hook not sticking out enough compared to old maniac hook I’ve been using for close to a year, but ease of hooking in and out was quite smooth even for a big guy at 225. So mu...

Re: Wing harness - post yours

I found in my garage a forgotten Dakine spreader bar with rope/sliding hook that i had never used with kites . Good thing about is that i can fold the hook upside down or move it sideways to get on board...Later i purchased a good deal on a Dakine Travelight harness that it's a very light and minim...

Re: Wing harness - post yours

I’ve been using a simple axis waist belt with old kiting dakine maniac hook and kaohi dbl coil leash with rail saver handle for close to a year at 225lbs and it’s worked really well for me.I just received a new NSI simple winging specific harness and looking forward to trying it shortly.Being a long...

Re: advise on new setup - Armstrong vs Axis

Axis for sure. Tons of options of foils with many more on the way. The 1050+930 is awesome for winging. Those are actually my favorite two foils to wing. If you were going to sup foil also then the 1150/910 set up. Also Axis has a super stiff mast which is great for the bigger foils. Armstrong has ...
