Re: Moses 790 front wing - what's the verdict now?

I quit using the 483 stabilizer awhile ago at the suggestion from another, went to the 450, and found it easier and more fun to ride. Slightly less front foot pressure and easier to carve. I would suggest that. As far as the 873 and 790 go, honestly neither give me a better low end. If I can keep t...

Re: Moses 790 front wing - what's the verdict now?

I have the 790 (and 633 / 683 / and 873). For me, for sure the 633 is the most "fun" - when I'm feeling super aggressive and want to ride like a kid at a skatepark, I ride my 633. The 683 for me is nearly identical, except it seems to cavitate more often. The 873 is awesome for "longboard" style fo...

Re: Moses 633 questions

In general, given similar construction methods and dimensions (thickness of foil etc) the shorter will be stiffer...and there are limitations on construction methods beyond 100 cm and maintaining foil thinness and being stiff and strong enough. I just went and torqued on my girlfriends 91 moses (20...

Re: Moses 633 questions

Many thanks for sharing your views on the two sizes I’m torn between at the moment. However I’ve got to ask: 45 deg torsion is surely a typo? Apart from that, how do you rate the 111? Cheers do the test, but stand on the board to secure it. you will gasp at the amount you can twist the the mast whe...

Re: Moses 633 questions

lightweight riders may not notice the difference, same goes for newbies, neither may load the mast up like a heavyweight or an experienced rider going hard and fast into turns-waves or turbulent water turn your board upside down on the grass with the mast and wings attached, grip the back and front...

Re: North's Ken Winner Slams Ram Airs

I think KW has a great history in windsurfing. Not really relevant here, but I give Ken respect for what he has done. Let me know when he comes up with a dependable kite that doesn't get pinhole leaks that could ruin a session or many sessions, isn't a hassle or expensive to repair and can be left ...

Re: getting rocked in DR

Understand there hasn't been much earthquake activity there in about 25 years from recent reports. We were in Cap Haitian in the mid '70's diving and drilling for evidence of the Santa Maria underwater. There was a problem figuring out just where sea level was five hundred years ago. There had been...

Re: Downwind Faster Than The Wind - update

This is all fascinating stuff, Spork! Definitely a braid-bender, as you say. It does take a bit of an effort to work it out, but it's worth it :thumb:

Thanks for sharing it with us:D
