oh they are starting to reuse kite names now as they reached the end of the list? Wipika Apm'ed anyone. Loved that kite - until I ripped it in half mid air on a huge jump ;-) .

a 14 for a big set is not the choice to start with. Add the loaner and unfamiliarity with the spot to start with and its a call for a problem. Glad you made it out ok. Reminds of the accident we had at ocean beach a few years ago with a guy for the first time in waves on a big wave day plus oversize...

I had the Zephir as low wind kite and that thing would not even fly better than my 12yo Nemesis 16 C kite !?!? Not worth the money at all. Especially the larger low wind sizes. Certainly don’t have an issue with my edge 17 but I also have a 5th line and like to ride it powered with a 130 board. Kind...

I am 80kgs and ride a 160 door in low winds. My rule of thumb is: when I walk with the wind and I still feel blowing from behind I am good. Now convert that to knots :-$ low wind riding is all about board speed / apparent wind. See foils for that. I gave up bigger kites a while ago as they just did ...
