Re: Storing kite gear in Cape town for 1 month

Hi hookedcook, If you stay with us, we can help with that. Some of our repeat guests leave kit with us all Autumn, Winter, Spring and just use it each year when they stay with us. Not that we encourage that too strongly as it can be a bit overwhelming. Lovely Spanish guest also left his lovely road ...

Cape Town - end of season report

Hi everyone - Most of the visitors have gone home from Cape Town. The handful that remain are enjoying spectacular on water conditions with good winds on many days and very uncrowded water! Re: Travel destination Jan/Feb

Really difficult to predict how the world looks in January/February. Clearly South Africa didn't go all that well last winter. I doubt they will lock down the same way this winter (or summer for them), but you never know. Right now they are worse off what they were 1 year ago. Zanzibar is decent in...

Re: Kite surfing destination with high speed Internet

We have "fibre to the house" in our street in Cape Town (including our lodge). Speeds are about 80 Mbs down / 50 Mbps up however it is shared amongst the guests so fine for emails, calls and even video calls (up to about 3 simultaneously) but if we all hammer the internet at the same time it does de...

North Evo, maybe Rebel..
+1 North Evo for nice yanky jumps and tight loops.

Rebel for long floaty jumps. Not so much for looping.

Re: Corona Virus - Has your country banned kitesurfing?

In the UK you are allowed out for 1 type/session of exercise per day. However, there is no non-essential travel allowed ... so no driving to the beach. I live on a beach but most people have decided not to kite the thinking being there is little/no spare capacity in the hospitals and we don't want t...

Re: New Woo jump record: 33.9m

wow, impressive! anyone took pictures or video? Really hard to photograph on the beach today ... sand flying everywhere. When I got home I showered and I had sand stuck around the side of my eyeballs. I did get a screengrab from the Woo app and uploaded it to MS Drive. I added the link as a picture...
