The best way to self land 4 line kite with low V

Sure this must have been done before, but this is the best way I have worked out to self land in a controlled manner reasonable safely. Firstly as always, make sure there is plenty of space with no obstructions or people around, then: 1. Bring your kite down resting on the beach as if you were going...

Re: Self launching

Thanks. I was thinking maybe I should position myself further upwind. May try that next time.

Self launching

When I self launch, my kite nearly always slides back in the window before launching. I position myself at right angles to the wind before trying to launch the kite. Anyone know how to make the kite launch without sliding back? Thanks...

Kite pump

Borrowed a friend's ozone pump and wow so much easier to use than mine. Pumping the kite was effortless. Just wondered why that should be? Would it be down to the lubrication used?

Re: Duotone surfboard fins

well I've got a duotone board and also some futures fins and they are NOT compatible. The base on the north fins is 4mm deeper than the futures (so you get a big "hole" when fitting the futures). Futures are designed to be screwed on the front. Duotone from the side. The problem with that is that mo...

Duotone surfboard fins

Their fins do not appear compatible with fcs or futures. So when a fin breaks you are stuck unless there's a duotone shop nearby! Which could be a real pain! Has anyone worked out how the fin boxes could be made compatible? Why do duotone do this, other than to fleece their customers with expensive ...

Re: Airush wave 7m blew out!

I'm 12 stone about 75 kg. The kite was about half depowered. I did check the lines after and the steering lines were about one inch longer so pretty good. Do you know if I could have done anything to put it right while still flying it? Cheers....

Airush wave 7m blew out!

Was kiting today in some pretty strong wind. Came to shore and my kite sort of blew out ie lost its Shape and sort of went flat in the wind. Had to leash out. Bladders pumped solid and bridle looks OK. Anyone else experienced that? Was very windy. I think about 40 knots although not surr
