Re: Split board for a world tour?

It boggles my mind that split boards aren't more common.

I have the newwind split board and love it. No flex in the joint, feels very secure. I would recommend it, but at the same time have not tried any others.

Spanish Wells, Bahamas - Looking for Lessons

Hi there

I am looking for a week long lesson in Spanish Wells, Bahamas for this coming March.
I found a school out of Nassau, but am hoping to find someone in Spanish Wells, or Euluthera that is able to do so.

thanks

Re: Freeride/All Around Kite for Beginner/Intermediate

I think many have better boards for light wind now and kites are getting more efficient.

But there is also a lot of hype, and companies building kites bigger than the label...

Id get a new 12m that you will fly most of the time. It will make 80% of your sessions better.

Re: Freeride/All Around Kite for Beginner/Intermediate

Nitro3 12m has a super huge wind range. I am 180lbs and have ridden it 12-25 knots on the same board.

To me its a no brainer, get the Nitro3. But everyone has an opinion and kites they love.

Re: Freeride/All Around Kite for Beginner/Intermediate

Finally, an honest kiter! Someone who admits they are just wanting to go out and mow the lawn and enjoy the ride! If upwind performance and low bar pressure are most important for your "free riding", a higher aspect-ratio kite is a good bet. High aspect ratio means a longer, skinnier wing-type kite...

Re: Switch Kites thoughts?

I got the Element 1 in 3 sizes and didnt care for it at all. Wasnt like anything i had flown before and I couldn't get used to it. But I gave the Nitro3 a shot and it is now my favourite thing. Flies exactly how I want it to with great relaunch and upwind ability. I came from flying ocean rodeo Rise...

Re: Drone

This is kind of like asking which is the best kite... I am a kiter that got into multirotors after seeing the footage that is possible. TBS Discovery is good, but also check Flying Cinema's Cinetank. The Cinetank is very impressive and creates great results. It is not a simple hobby tho... I have be...

Re: Light wind kite testing!

Hey I appreciated the video a lot and am looking forward to your other reviews.
The head to head comparison is great.

One thing I would have liked to have seen was a "What I wish was better" by each rider on each kite.

But thank you for your reviews as comparisons!

Re: Light wind kite testing!

I disagree. Each kite should be flown with its own respective bar. That's how it was designed in the first place, and how it would be purchased by the consumer. More importnt would be the sme board being used by the sme rider from kite to kite. Also it would be great to test with a big twin tip and ...
