Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Had da great ride today! I am still pretty stoked ;-) What a great feeling. As advised, I put the SS Space Skate wing in front of the mast (90 cm) and put the foil as far back in the board as possible. It felt great like that! With the big wing it was not that hard, too. The wind was so light that i...

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Yeah I know. I will. Just thought I could save some time by picking the probably right position for the combo. Hope to try this week.

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Thanks for your input guys! That's what I thought, too. So, I will change the fuselage position on the mast to get the wing in front of the mast and see how it works. I can't wait :-)

... mediocre outcome. ... indicates something is really wrong. ... still curious but way less excited https://kiteforum.com/download/file.php?id=84866&mode=view Has anyone else tried the Space Skate? I will try. But, can anyone give a good guess whether to take A or B position at the fuselage? That...

Re: Preferred line lenght for wave/freeride hydrofoil?

For the last two years or so I used 20 m lines for foiling and Surfboard (5-10m). Now Frank Rosin has made me curious about shorter lines. I would like to stick to one bar for everything. Maybe try 17m or so first and see how it goes.

In that video Alldredge is on BWS. James Ropner on Core and Loyd Surfboard. And then comes Patrick Rebstock, who has quietly moved to Ozone if am not mistaken.

Re: Kite 7m for hydrofoil

I guess any wave kite in 7 m should do the job for you. My choice is the SS SST.

Re: toeside 180 tack ... anyone got advice

I was quite comfortable with the maneuver already but have pain in one wrist at the moment. So I tried to reduce the pressure when leaning into it. So just before turning and leaning into it I rode downwind for some meters. And I couldn't believe that I didn't think of that months ago. It is so much...

Re: Slingshot Screamer / Swallow Sizing

I would recommend the 5.4 Swallow, too. The new Mixer is really fun, too. For me with 80kg the 5.6 would be big enough. But I am not sure if that is enough board for you.

Re: Slingshot Screamer / Swallow Sizing

What size and weight are you?

The Swallow is a good allrounder. The Screamer better suited for windier/choppier/bigger conditions. As a one board solution the Swallow is much more versatile.
