The picture issue has been fixed on the spots page.

Now working on the top part of the sites, so don’t wonder if it looks a bit strange.

Re: Risky kiting in Cape Town this evening

I never understand these guys who get a kick out of going to the Horizont.

If something happens to them they have no chance.
Maybe that’s their kick?

Plain stupid.

Re: Could Foot Straps on a Surfboard Lead to Broken Femur?

Ouch, that sounds both painful and horrible. I meet folk in Cape Town who insist on riding strapless primarily due to concerns about getting caught with one foot in one strap in a tumbling wave. I personally still put straps on my board if I am determined to ride a directional in large waves, simpl...

we currently have a bug on the spots page, when you click a picture it doesn't show bigger. Will be fixed soon. Plus expect a bit weird design of the top navigation the next hours, since we will be working live on it. Takes a bit time to have it the way we want it. I will update you here once finish...

Re: Kiter killed in New Zealand

of course it is.
This has also been discussed.

But you will always have a chance of getting lofted, then you should know what to do.

It is like activating the quick release...you should always try everything to not use it...but things happen...you should know how to use it!

Re: Tips for travelling with kite equipment - how do you pack?

Good tip on 1 there. I always make a screenshot of the rules for sports bags. The checkin people sometimes don’t have any clue. What’s bad, that some airlines don’t state the weight limits on their website. You need to call to find out. Note the name, date and time you called if any trouble at the a...

Re: Kiter killed in New Zealand

Really sad to hear this.

My condolences.

We recently discussed what to do when getting lofted.
We all have to be prepared for it.
You just need to fly it with the kite above you...any steering will accelerate you and you slam into obstacles.
Fly it like a paraglider...your only chance.

RIP
