Re: Introducing the World's Lightest and Strongest Kites - Aluula

I'm surprised there aren't any Aluula Wing's out on the market I concur that this would be amazing for winging and it seems that the improvement in performance would be even greater compared to kites. I assume that Aluula is exclusive to Ocean Rodeo and they are busy enough just rolling out the kit...

 that's pretty good.

Curious what you have for a wing? I've got the 5.3 and 3.6 Naish S25's on order.

Re: The reason to wing. Can't do this with a kite

A. Technically Peter is right.... you should try a peak. Your roam may be awesome, but it is not at all like a peak when it comes to drift. The Roam is very good for an inflatable wave kite but I kite in onshore wind and as good as it is I know it's very limited in this regard. I have been followin...

Re: The reason to wing. Can't do this with a kite

You might not be aware but Annelous is a top female kiteboarder sponsored by Cabrinha. She has several recent competition wins so it seems telling to me that she is winging here instead of kiting. I've kitefoil éd in very similar conditions and I believe the swell is pretty neglible and fairly disor...

Re: Step down wing from Slingshot INF76

Why not get the Infinity 65? I have not used it but it should be perfect. I think Time Code 68 is too big. TC 57 would be better. I would not recommend the Space Skate. In my experience it does not have good top end. My Infinity 84 has the same top end as my Space Skate when towed behind a jet ski.

Foil bag?

I have 4 foils, 3 masts, 2 fuses, and 2 stabs.

What are people using for storing/transport?

Re: front wing failure

This is a known issue with a batch of the Infinity wings. They will replace it.

I get going in about 12 knots with 24 meter lines but that is marginally powered.
12 knots would be acceptable to me. I'm a bit lighter than you at 75 kg. What size wing do you use?

Thanks for the input.

no, longer lines will make everything easier including longer time in the power zone which will help on lighter days.
Cool. They make 7M extensions also so I could go 19M + 7M extensions which would get me in the ballpark.

Thanks!

Re: Concept Air Smart Wave 6.5 & 4.5 & 3 and now 8.5

You may be too optimistic regarding the lower wind range. As far as I know, the 8.5 start to be playful around 14-15knts on hydrofoil, a little above 15 for me on a light wind surfboard. For strapless surfing, I use it on 19m lines with a 60 cm bar and I like it like that. You prefer 19M lines beca...
