Re: Soul line adjustment after 2.5 years

Its weird that your Z is longer than A it should have been the opposite. But either way you can fix A and Z later at the bar. For B and C, first attach your A and Z at a secure point with 2 separate ropes with one being 12 cm shorter than the other. Or just tie one rope with Z and then one with A an...

Re: Predictions for Ram Airs in 2021
Let me guess, it was the Flysurfer "speed" that turned you off to foilkites?
I owned a couple of Ozone Frenzys in the past, too slow and not much of depower, I tried some Peter Lynns and those didn't fly like I would like them to. Then I test flew the first version of Speed and was...

Re: Predictions for Ram Airs in 2021

Well, I do have enough experience to take my own advice. Yeah thats what i thought too about ram airs,. I love inflatables but since I got a Soul for a year now this kite is just incredible. This kite made me change my mind about ram airs. I have flown many ram airs in the past and many got me frust...

Re: Dealing with a real world death loop in 30 knot conditions

PS I have made a mental note to myself to hold the trim, at least occasionally, when taking a break on the beach with the kite on a tip, just to reinforce what might be a useful instinct. Now that is what i mean by practising on the beach. I hold the kite from the chickenloop or cleat very often wh...

Re: Dealing with a real world death loop in 30 knot conditions

Pulling the centre lines is a useful tool to effectively sheet a kite out. However, in a bar wrap as in the video the bar will already be at the depower cleat so grabbing and pulling that will do little or nothing to effect the flight of the kite. If you are going to try to snuff the power with a c...

Re: Dealing with a real world death loop in 30 knot conditions

Pulling the trim line I'm sure works perfectly for you but I would be reluctant suggest it for a beginner. I don't mind using the qr that's what it's for and it works great. Nobody wants to throw their qr for some reason. I'll throw it just to land my kite I don't care if anyone sees me. I'm not em...

Re: Dealing with a real world death loop in 30 knot conditions

Pulling on the opposite rear line described in that video is one way to do it. It works but after having many deathloops in my kiting career I have discovered another way which deserves to be mentioned. I never had to pull my release, not even once. I used to pull the opposite line as well but the k...

Re: heli loop not providing lift

10-12m kite in 15-20 kn would be a good start. I start the redirecting/moving kite forward process at 4-5m height. That starts to slow the decent and at around 2-3m i pull the loop when the kite reaches almost at the front edge of the window. Also i dont pull the loop very hard so i get a little wid...

Re: heli loop not providing lift

You need to make the kite fly forward before you loop it. When coming back down from a jump first i make sure the kite is at the back of the window. If its not I pull my back hand a little to take it back again and at around 4-5m height i make a sudden short front hand pull so that the kite faces fo...

Re: What am I doing wrong and I keep breaking my TT boards?

I had the same problem for years. I snaped about 6-7 boards all at the same place ( backfoot heel side ) after hard kiteloop landings. The only board that lasted on me and got the most abuse is the Epic Spartan. When I got it Dimitri asked me to abuse it as much as i can and try to break it. This th...
