Nah, it just irks me when a helmet is used as a safety pancea, when it is often irrelevant. Case in point: About a month ago, one of my sponsors* (Sid's Job) was getting a new piece of pavement put in. A backhoe had came and dug a 1ft deep, large square that concrete will rest in. The backhoe left a...

http://www.noc.com/ss/details/images/heshc01.jpg I think this one is kinda cool too :thumb: but does it offer as much protection as the holy? Just a question on that brain bucket... What happens to your neck if you get owned? When you hit the water, feet first, at mach 5, but not entirely on your b...

Re: I pledge to wear a helmet from now on!

Every time i hear of someone gettng killed or badly hurt I have to tell you i feel terrible. This latest one from the UK makes me sick. I feel so sorry for his family and friends. In memory of him and others who have passed, I pledge as a fellow kitesurfer (who has never worn a helmet) to wear one ...

And mmmm..... yeah he looks a bit chum inside the silly helmet. :superfly: Would you suggest me to tell him not to ware it anymore? Be...

You used the word "safety" once in your compulsive posting affliction above and you look like a complete idiot - still! Steve - You are SOOOooooo close to forming a genuine, fact based arguement. Keep trying, because I *KNOW* you can do it!!! :thumb: For people like Steve, 'safety' and 'instructors...

Anyone who can SPELL 'instruction' or 'kite' should become a SKC (Sid's Kiteboarding Certification) instructor! If you send us $250,000 and we don't certify you - We'll give you a complete refund! Remember, it's not about money - It is about safety. And safety is WAY more important than silly money....

oceanplay, we looked into stocking them a while back. but they were just far to expensive, we done a survey and no onewe asked was willing to pay such a high price for sweet helmets. kinda silly isn't it. willing to spend their money on other stuff but when it comes to their life. its to expensive ...

sid 5150 :thumb: What's there not to adore? Children trust him. He's used the word 'elbonic' in a sentence, and meant it! He can almost lick his elbow!!! I see Sid ripp'n it up every time I go out there, and I'm always impressed - But he's still down to earth enough to carry his own gear. A real cl...

No Worries! Lines will stretch as you fly - ESPECIALLY when they are brandy new! Most people don't even notice a difference in line lengths until sorting out their lines at home. Adjust the overall line-to-kite length using the pig tails on the kite IF you notice a pull to one side. If not, keep fly...
