Re: flysurfer soul long mixer test

Armin: I'm also convinced that adjusting z is the right way to go - at least for the older models that I have owned. Adjusting the back lines is not the same is it?

Blast from the past: FS pulse

Took out an old pulse 7m from 2006 I think it was. I bought it second hand 8 years ago for eu100 but never used it much. It is in amazing condition but feels so heavy by modern standards. Removed 5th line (never worked well, just span) and lengthened z 4cm.prevously lengthened the weird ring line Ri...

80kg 20cm divynicell : 20cm(8 inch) of what, wide, thick ?.
I meant 20mm thick. Was thinking of trying to bend with a heat gun. Not sure how hard that is. But I bet the fumes will be nasty...

Thanks. Useful info. Did you use stringers? That looks tricky unless you stop short of the nose kick.

Pocket foilboard divynicell 80 core Ghetto build tips?

I'm wondering about a simple build (no vacuum) pocket board in 80kg 20cm divynicell. What would be the simplest way to go for a noob?

(If the answer is "build it in plywood then that's good too)

Awesome for a whole 50m.

I didn't reinforce the deck - just added a bit of carbon fiber to the bottom. So, it is not enough to be stiff, it needs to be strong too. Who would have thought? :)

Inflation funnel

This was mentioned in a recent thread: an inflation wind sock:

Very cool!

Reminds me of some tricks we used to inflate arcs (an L-shaped pipe in the tail vent) in the models that didn't have zips.

Re: DIY wing covers?

Went with the windscreen cover. Need to use big stitch length otherwise it tears. Just two halves with a simple bit of vecro on the nose. Will see how it holds up. Not a huge amount of protection but should be good enough.

Re: Kiteboarding Line Hack: Get on the Water Faster

I prefer the BRM variant: after making the "T" with the lines, put them under the bar bungee directly, and wind the rest of the lines, doubled over, around the other end of the bar. Otherwise I feel that I risk messing things up...
