Awesome. And props to foilholio.

Did you do every cell? At mid point? Post a picture. Interested as a possible mod for an occasionally-collapsing bridled foil.

Re: extend the low end; single skin, cloud, foil kite?

About hot launching the peak 4. I think we need to be a bit careful here. When I first got my 5m I did not understand the windrange too well and launched it in over 20 knots one time (well over the limit for HF with this kite). I hot launched and got my arse kicked (went flying forward, landed hard)...

Re: Pocket board building

I think OP is asking about how to attach the mast ("column") to the board ("table"). Google translate :) Downunder, are you seriously saying that you can bend 18mm Paulownia? That would really surprise me - seems very stiff indeed at 18mm. I'd go with the simple way that Tom suggests. I have not fou...

Re: Pansh Genesis and some tuning

I'll give it a try ($89 + tax and duty, not exactly a risk)

Re: Pansh Genesis and some tuning

Anyone tried the 3m Genesis for foiling? What is the expected windrange?

Re: Pocket board building

From the picture you can see that I cut down to about 3mm. If it is thick I think that it will snap rather than bend. You will soon see that you can't bend 10cm paulownia. You need to glass the board for sure.

Re: DIY Arc Speed 5.5 from foilmaker

Actually I was positively surprised with the effect of this, in my view, rather subtle change, the handclapping is completely over! 😊 As the wind was rather gusty today, the other problem, was even more pronounced however. The arc rises quickly up in the sky but especially if there is some tension ...

Re: Pocket board building

Hi Have a look at the picture of my second version. Starts at 10cm distance and reduces to about 5 near the nose. I used the smallest router bit that I could find. It worked but there could be better ways. 20200322_182758.jpg 20200322_182828.jpg I used epoxy thickened with bubbles. It is easier if i...

Re: How I built my own kite surfing bar

Sure you can post a link! Judging by the weight of commercial custom carbon bars I don't think people are using more than 2mm thickness so 3mm should be bomber. Evan Mr Infexion might care to comment as he has been very generous with information.
