Re: test of Hysper v2 from Sky Country, relaunchable single skin

What's the easiest way to increase camber on this mixer? You have to shift the knots... Easy enough I think. - Oliver I have not looked at it in a while and don't remember where it adjusts (A,B,C,Z) so I was being lazy and hoping for something like "shorten A and Z at the knot 1cm and lengthen B wi...

Re: High Pressure kite by Bruno Legaignoux

Bruno's web site is dead, but the wayback machine has some copies of the text: https://web.archive.org/web/20230609074009/http://www.brunoinventions.com/development.html I use a small fridge compressor to fi...

Re: Brand comparisons for trainer kite for children

5.5 hybrid is quite big. I took a 55kg adult out for a lesson in what I thought was light winds and the 3.5 proved to be plenty enough on land, and I think that they could have gotten going on a board in the water. I think it would be the absolutely best kite for teaching kids to kitesurf. https://w...

Re: Bar for foiling

I will soon offer my custom bar with lines for around 170 euros. The bar will look exactly like the picture below. For several months, the bar has been tested by me and several friends. The reviews are very positive. You will sell loads at that great price. A suggestion. Once you remove the clamcle...

Re: Micro Carbon kite bars ?

During the prototyping phase I built bars in three parts with an alloy milled connecter in the center with abs printed replaceable guides as I also was worried about sawing the bars in half from the chicken loop line . The bars do look very fine - the proto one especially. A matt finish on the bar ...

Re: Small wing foil for kite foil (sk8, armstrong, ketos...)

Try the Gong Ypra S foils. The MS is what you might be looking for, great high wind wing foil, and nice for waveriding with the kite too. It has a 75 cm wingspan, 700 cm² and is 1.05 cm thick for a volume of 0.36L https://www.gong-galaxy.com/en/product/gong-foil-allvator-front-wing-pro-ypra-s/ Look...

Re: The Hybrid from Flysurfer

I've never had a tangle with the Hybrid. If you keep your leader lines pulled over the leading edge/front of the kite and roll everything else inside the kite you shouldn't have any tangles. When you set up have the kite trailing edge with sand on it directly downwind, take the lines which you put ...

Re: test of Hysper v2 from Sky Country, relaunchable single skin

Unfortunately, all hybrid kites, without exception, are significantly worse aerodynamically than singleskin kites. For light to medium light winds I don't see a niche they can fill between singleskin kites and classic parafoils. Not many people have had the chance to fly all hybrids - you are lucky...
