Re: Problems with Naish Pivot 2016 14qm

Haven't tried Pivots, but I'm 90kg, used to have a Trax a few years ago and I'd like to note that 136 is definitely on the short side for your weight and especially for lighter winds. 137x42 would have been more appropriate at 90kg for well-lid conditions and these boards aren't exactly low-end mons...

Re: Naish Monarch vs Shinn Bronq

I'm may be severely biased, but I have yet to touch a Naish board which wouldn't feel like dead weight. Give Shinn a shot - if only for the sake of riding something else - doubt that you'd be disappointed. Besides, if you like riding nicely powered - that's where Bronq (and Monk for that matter) do ...

Re: Low rise booties - looking for feedback.

Went with the Superfreaks after all – they were the easiest to get the hold of. Got a couple or rides on them already, very-very satisfied. -they fit a little small, so size 11 is an honest 11 with no wiggle room. -very thin and light, feel like slippers after my old NP-s. -haven’t even bothered wit...

Re: Low rise booties - looking for feedback.

Just noticed you are in Canada though so might not have the same stores? Yeah, wish we had these kevlar Reefs available here. I've actually been to some local stores, but with the whole virus hysteria sizes and models availability is very limited. Might have to go with the Superfreaks as they are a...

Low rise booties - looking for feedback.

My old and trusty NP-s are falling apart so I'm looking for a new set of warm water booties for these spots where it's impossible to ride barefooted. Looking for: -2mm max thickness -low rise -plain (not split-toe) models -ideally no straps - but these are easy to cut off -the least unnecessary rubb...

Re: When to replace bar?

I like change my bar every two years (4/5 uses per month) so total, 200 hours. But with good maintenance, I sell all my bars in very good condition on second hand market. To be honest, I prefer to have the bars in perfect condition, it's more important than the kite. Bar is your safety. This was my...

Re: Airush - Any recommendations about the products?

Kites: among the most durable on the market, if they suit your needs. For me they killed the Union as of V4 - so I'm on something else now. Bars: not the best in terms of gimmicks - but very solid, dependable, easy to service and maintain. I've been running a pair of Airush bars for the last 4 seaso...

Re: Ozone Enduro - user opinions

Had some bad experience with a used Enduro V1 12m (the typical used Ozone issues like shrinking webbings, etc...). Managed to exchange it under warranty - ish for a brand new V2 12m.   Totally loved how it flies, totally  hated how it aged. -Don't get on if you're planning to keep your kites for lon...

Re: Lieuwe Shotgun 138 x 42 twintip - review

I've had Monks. (iirc) the Monks were more flexible than the Shotgun but among other things lacked the clever channelling which gives the Shotgun its huge grip. I also own a fully-channeled Axis Vanguard, which is my go-to beater board for spots with really bad rocks and when it gets too cold to ri...

Re: Lieuwe Shotgun 138 x 42 twintip - review

Anyone had a chance to ride the Shotgun against the Monk - back to back? These seem to be very close in their marketing speech. I've been riding Monks for the last few seasons, test driving everything I can only to realise how good it feels to get back on the Monk... but i've been curious about Lieu...
