Re: Any lightwind-specific surfboards left on the market?

Thx guys, pulled a trigger on the Burner - found a decent deal online. Soooo that takes care of the subject. And before anyone blames me for not supporting our local SS dealer - screw these guys! Last time I tried to demo something from them - they were gonna charge me for it... The way I see it - t...

Re: Any lightwind-specific surfboards left on the market?

Some great information, thx for the feedback guys. - Have some limited experience with raceboards - definitely not an option. To me these fall into the same category as foils - something that will allow me to go out for the sake of going out... no fun to be found... - I'm 200-210lbs, used to own a 5...

Any lightwind-specific surfboards left on the market?

A few years of trying to like riding a foil later - I'm happy to admit a total failure. Not my thing - feel absolutely no joy riding one despite getting pretty good at it. As such - considering getting back to the lightwind surfboard "plan B" instead. But it looks like - there isn't much left on the...

Re: Bahia Salinas Costa Rica

Many thanks ! That’s very helpful. Yes currently looking at Los Roques and Dom rep, hopefully wind will get better. Colombia is very tempting just wondering about the political context there. If you can get to Los Roques or Margarita - should probably forget about everything else. In March: Dom Rep...

Inflate valves compatibility: Cab vs NK (NS) vs Eleveight

Would anyone be able to confirm interchangeability of the following brands inflate valves: Eleveight vs North (NS) vs Cabrinha The plastic retainer thingy broke on one of my RS-s, but given the scarcity of Eleveight dealers in North America and the fact that the original part is B/O-ed everywhere - ...

Re: Paros Greece - kite size?

Just got back from Greece with about 9 days on Paros, 7of which I did kite. Mostly used the 12m, only 2 outings on the 10m, no luck for the 8m... Twintipper/95kg Got really disappointed by the main spot (Pounta) - which is an absolute sh@tshow. There are students practicing and crashing their gear a...

Re: Harness hook broke during kiteloop

It is so simple guys! Buy a new harness every 6 months and this shit will not happen to you!!! This is a very easy way to educate those stupid customers to buy more frequently for a higher price :thumb:  The only challenge for the harness industry now is: Produce the same "quality" like Mystic...

Kite gear prices in Greece vs NA

Will be in Greece later this year – wondering if there’s any advantage in purchasing any gear locally vs North America? Is Greece being hit hard by VAT and such?

Re: Paros Greece - kite size?

Can’t imagine anybody still getting surprised in 2023 by yet another post from a typical FB-bloke who’s idea of “searching” for information comes down to creating yet another useless post in any sorts of social media… and it was sooooo much woooork!!! Was on Paros quite a few years ago first week of...

Re: You might want to check the pads screws on your 2023 Shinn board...

This looks like stripped treads by screwing it in at an angle and forcing it in, destroying the tread. A bolt should always go in with ease, if you already need force from the start you are doing something wrong and should start over with a fresh bolt and check if it screws in smoothly without the ...
