Re: Kooky Kook Proofs

few times the kook proof helped me to tie the knots correctly...since I was not 100% focused at rigging. It happens...should one pay with his life for a little mistake, which can be easily done by manufacturers without extra costs? So you guys drive a car without airbags and breaks, because you can...

Re: Kooky Kook Proofs

Posted: Sun Oct 10, 2004 8:21 am by Dwight The only problem with kook proof connections is companies like Flexifoil making theirs the opposite of the industry standard. Very stupid of any kite company to make them backwards The kite manufacturers have had SEVEN (7) years since the 2004 post above, ...

Re: Drysuits: Mystic or ION

ok, now it is started. of course, OR dry suite came up with its "breathing" and "durability"! what a bunch of crap, just put it in your bathtub under water and try to squeeze air out of it. and then tell us it is breathable. only air bubbles you'll probably see would be escaping from the worn seams...

Re: Drysuits: Mystic or ION

Whilst I haven't used the Ion or Mystic, I have used a few drysuits in my time and can agree that the Ocean Rodeo Pyro Pro is a fantastic piece of kit. No, its not stretchy, though it does have some elasticated panels, but is incredibly well built and very hard wearing. A few of the guys on my local...

Re: Anyone else got scammed with this Mystic vest?

Hi mate, Lucky you! Trust me- if I were in the UK and not on the other side of the ocean, I would go through legal procedure against the dealer. It is not possible from here (and those guys know that). You are obviously based in the UK? Did you go back to King Of Watersports for the replacement or ...

Re: With 1 Death already, Design for a safty device is neede

I don't think an electronic device would be the best bet, potentially too much to go wrong and relies on maintenance, how do you configure it to multiple kite/bar combinations etc. In skydiving they use a 3 ring release to cut away main chutes. I think adapting this to fit on either end of the spre...

Re: Circle-one Kiteboards

I am currently borrowing a mates Circle One 6' board to learn directional use on it. He's had it about 2 years and considering the use its had its in great shape. Very few chips in the top coat, except where mis use has played a part and the graphics on it are really nice. Even getting spat out of t...
