Re: Foilboarding Disaster

Hi everyone. I had my kite lines get caught in my foilboard a few times - I think the word "scary" comes to mind. So, 2 things, what do you do when this happens. And what do you do to prevent it? Thanks If you are in this situation it is important to stay calm. Usually releasing the kite onto the s...

Re: Chubanga v2 2019

Thanks for the updates! My current board has the tuttle 23cm from the tail. Would that really make much of a difference once foiling as long as the footstraps are in the right spot? It might. You need a minimum distance of 55cm from the Front Tuttle Screw to the back screw of you front footstaps. O...

Re: SUPfoil touring

So let's call Hawaiian style an "open ocean downwinder" and come up with a different name for my idea. "Coastal downwinder"? "Down sweller"? (Because there doesn't need to be wind, just waves?) 2. Is is possible to do a coastal downwinder while staying (mostly) up on foil? 3. Is is possible to do a...

Re: Action Cams in 2019 whats everyone using

After testing for a couple of weeks now, I have retired my Go Pro Hero 7 and am very happy with the Osmo Action. Full review is also coming soon, but I feel that DJI understand Watersports better than GoPro does now. The Hydrophobic coating on the Lens Cover and Screens, better stabilisation when i...

Re: Fuerteventura predicted wind vs. true wind

Wind on Fuerte is very dependent on the forecasted direction. The micro-climates really effect the wind. Basic rule of thumb for the Summer is. If there is any easterly component to the wind Flag and Glass beach will only have wind in the early morning and after 17.00. Then the Wind will be on the w...

Re: Anyone here windsurf foil?

So the closest legal water kiting spot to where I live with consistent wind is like 4 hours away, but I live right next to a big reservoir that allows windsurfing for half the year when it's not frozen (I snowkite on it the other half of the year). They allow SUP / windsurf boards / canoes / kayaks...
