Re: FOILBOARD - hOLY GRAIL

Is there a Foilboard out there that would allow you to do 1. KiteFoil (8 - 15 kts) 2. WingFoil (> 15 kts) 3. ProneFoil (no wind or Offshore) < 5'4" for easy Air travel Assume 75 kg Intermediate - Expert Foiler at all 3 disiplines I understand that there will be compromises when designing a board fo...

Re: Wing surface area definitions?

But when comparing equal design specifications eg Moses 950 initially quoted at 1600 now 1350 actual at the most. Area must be a meaningful consideration. Nope. Manufacturers are only listing Surfance area because the customers think is means something. Once people start understanding that it is no...

Re: Wing surface area definitions?

I personally think Volume / Span gives a decent number of comparison. Espacially for low end. -- Gunnar gunnar, slightly off topic but have you been on the north sonar 1250ha vs 1450ha vs 1500r vs 1850r wings for wingfoiling? if you were 87 kg's and very decent at kitefoiling,,, but a beginner wing...

I personally think Volume (cm3) / Span (m) gives a decent number of comparison. Espacially for low end.

Re: how to fix Sabfoil/Moses mast screws from coming loose?

Argh ok, I was sold the wrong size screws M6 25mm with the HS700. I'll go and find some M6 30MM to use and hopefully that makes a difference. Thanks Gunnar SAB sent all the dealers 30mm screws to replace any that were delivered in the first batch of HS700 Fuselages. So you need to go talk to your d...

Re: how to fix Sabfoil/Moses mast screws from coming loose?

I'm tightening them really hard and they make a creaking sound like it's tight enough. I went out today on my new 799/400/HS700/91cm mast and it was great but often I felt an adjustment, like when you don't wash the salt sometimes from the fuselage/mast connection and you feel an adjustment, I felt...

Re: how to fix Sabfoil/Moses mast screws from coming loose?

Yeah but I continue to get that feeling of the mast settling in, even though I tighten the mast screws very hard, you can actually feel it move when foiling, not sure what I am doing wrong, have cleaned all the tefgel off the mast screws The screws might still not be tightened down enough. You are ...

For those still following along i polish my foil with 2k sand paper than carnauba wax.
Do not wax your foil. it is probably the worst thing you can do and will cause ventilation. 2000 Grit wet sand at 45deg is pretty much what you want for speed in warm water.

I cannot do any, the easiest?
I guess it would be the basic half gybe to backwind and back to initial tack?
Probably the easiest is to carve to toeside and then carve back to heelside.
