Re: Slingshot Phantasm 633

The new 12 K dual carbon core mast from the Phantasm line 2021 is much stiffer than the old Slingshot 633 (Ghostwhisper 91) which is the same as the Moses Onda. Due to the stiffer mast there should be less torsion which I like. Waiting to fly the new Phantasm 633 when the ZA-government hopefully wil...

Re: SS Ghost kites

I although use the SST 4m and 6m for foiling and was interested on how good the Ghost V1 is. Can only judge the 10m on 20" bar on 20m lines. First launch backlines long (first knot) and depower lines shorter (2nd knot) as I use to fly my SST. Noticed that the Ghost V1 set up is better if back and fr...

Re: FS Soul 15m or 18m for very lightwind foiling

I also had to choose between 15 and 18m Soul. But I ride a Slingshot GW111 (front wing 637, rear 420) and need a little bit more speed / power to get flying. I did test the 15m Soul in very light wind. Amazing how solid it is in the lightest wind. Had a fun session but sometimes I just needed this t...

Re: Riding Styles and best foils for curvy carving...

Definitely what Frank says! Are there only "2" styles of foiling? Answer in the year 2018: Yes. Racing and Freeride. And, can anyone recommend a sweet setup for the riding style I describe above? I got the SS Ghostwhisper 91 (2019) under my feet and would not let it go. It was sooooo much fun! I dec...

Re: Cape Town - Blouberg/Big Bay Tips

Hi Mark, jm2c Launch at Doodles or further south. Not at your marked spot! Just talk to some wavekiters at the beach (Big Bay, Dolphin oder Kite Beach) if they plan to do a DW to Haakgat. Pretty easy to catch up if you are advanced. Would not recomment to do it alone. DW to Big Bay ... No big deal. ...

Re: Moses T38 vs T22

@tomtom Go for the pocket board! Specialy if you keep the T40. I ride the Ghostwhisper 91 (Front 633) and the Dwarfcraft 3'6 (106cm). It is such a perfect match. I usualy ride a racefoil/board. But since I bought the GW91 I took out my old pocket board to give it a try. The next weekend I went to th...
