Re: Moses 2019

I swapped out the stabilizer that comes with Onda set up to the 325.

Wow!

I moved mast 3 cm forward on 110cm strapless Grooveskate. I have 2 sessions on it. Unbelievable turning and freedom. My tacks are now adjusting. Sitting is more challenging to get pitch under control but that’s coming along.

Re: Hatteras to get another new bridge ... this one sucks.

It’s so sad. I used to rent both those houses. By far the nicest launching in the area.

And what about preserving the integrity of the shipwreck?

Re: Goove Skate foilboard, durability and build quality

Upon closer inspection I noticed the area of delamination is the skin (pvc ?) from the layer underneath it. It separates 1-2 mm and seems to be only in 10-15 cm circular area around mast tracks toward the forward end. The screws and t nuts have not damaged the tracks in any way. The board is green a...

Re: Goove Skate foilboard, durability and build quality

I love my grooveskate! But, I’ve noticed the middle area might be delaminating within. It seems to be able to be compressed about 3mm and returns (rebounds) immediately. Also, I’ve noticed it retains a bit of water after a session. It drains out over short time period. Now I’m worried it may fail, l...

Re: Monofoil or "riding stabless", setup and riding

Has anyone tried just taking stabilizer off and riding with front wing on the fuselage?

I’m riding Moses 633 Onda on pocket board. Watching Oyvind’s tight carving abilities has me looking for more freedom to really swivel that foil around.

Re: KiteSurf Weed fins?

Search split keel fins.

I just ordered a set of FCS II in these because the sargassum seems to be soooooo widespread. Winter storms delayed me receiving them in time for vacation, so it’ll be a few months before I can test them.

I hope this is not new normal, but these fins should help.

Re: Music when kiting - without headphones

Wow, that was kinda harsh. I’ve had the same thoughts about sticking a speaker on my foil board. It’s sooo quiet and I’m always far away from others (cause I guess music on a sunny day outside can really irritate some). I started adding earbud music this summer and combined with foiling it’s a whole...

Re: How to Sit on a foil

I agree with K-Roy. Front hand replaces front foot in very quick motion. I crouch down low as can, then sink front with front foot pressure and time it so foil goes into small size chop and ever so towards windward. Get front hand on board then all is balanced from that point, allowing quick adjustm...

Re: 2019 Duotone Click Bar

I agree that lines on click bar are inferior. They are sooo sticky.

The lines on RRD bars are so smooth and superior.

For the price of click bar, this should be corrected. IMHO

Re: Poll: Underpowered or Overpowered

A few years ago I spent an entire season rigging for #2 mostly TT and some SB. This was so a good focus on really learning how to fly the kite. To maximize its potential by learning loops in all kinds of conditions. I think that pathway should be practiced by all. These kites are sooo expensive I wa...
