Re: e-Foil Drive Gen 2 ? An honest review & test

Decent vid but not relevant for kite foil, posted in the wrong place. E-foil drive is hydrofoiling too. You are assuming that hydrofoiling can only be done with a kite... Agree, Efoiling belongs in this Hydrofoil section. Too small to have its own group, and it does not disturb those not doing it, ...

Re: Worldwide Kite Sales Figures

For me winging reminds me of when Inlines came into the skateparks in the 90's. It never looked good. Sure, easier than skateboarding. But the style and the feeling where never close to skateboarding. Now inlines is pretty much dead. Instead we have seen scooter kids for some time and the new surfs...

Re: Fone Mirage

Have had the SK8 750 for over a month now but don't kite that much anymore, I used it only for winging . Compared to the Eagle 790 which I did use with a kite (and was great) it has a little less lift, and turns better but most of all is much more pitch sensitive probably due to the 160 stab that co...

Re: Pacasmayo waves - Windsurfers have priority???

Im currently in Pacasmayo! There are a lot of interesting replies here and many have very valid points. In reality though we do have to have just 1 rule set in stone to avoid problems. I am a kiter, windsurfer, surfer and my job is yacht captain.... so no real bias... So why is it written here that...

Re: Fone Mirage

Looks like there's a new option too, even higher aspect then the Phantom-s: SK8 HM CARBON 650 https://www.f-one.world/product/sk8/ I don't think it will suit kite enough. Too high aspect and probably too lifty. It's designed for surf foil and low speeds. Not sure about that. I am 66kg and mostly ki...

Re: I Blame Windsurfers

It has nothing to do with windsurfing. Most call it progress, but manufacturers' main goal is to create demand, without it they do not exist...

Re: new wing

Gaastra had an elliptical leading edge on their Phoenix kite 15 years ago, windsurfers and paragliders have been using that shape (cambers) for ages and so do most sailboats these days. Aerodynamically it certainly has advantages. Zips used for changing the surface area were also used unsuccessfully...

Re: My Take On A Control Bar For Foiling

Nice bar :thumb: But assume you are just making fun, saying: The difference in flying the kite is just phenomenal! The kite is more reactive, flies better over powered, flies better under powered, flies faster through the window, goes upwind better, goes downwind better, and hangs in the air better...
