Re: revolutionary twintip board

As with all other kiteboarding hype, the next revolutionary product relies on the element Unobtainium"

It seems that most products still rely on Expensivium though...

Re: Vote your favorite picture for Ocean Rodeo Soul Searchin

I vote for #7 because I know how crazy the west coast gets and props to that dude! No way that day was as savage as #8! From a marketing standpoint, it does zero for OR. And while it conveys kit was a cold day for those that know the west coast, the photograph is otherwise not really that good in c...

Re: Vote your favorite picture for Ocean Rodeo Soul Searchin

#8 was taken by Chuck Tatham one of our local crew of maniacs here in Toronto at Cherry Beach!

They ride the WORST cold weather all winter. I think just for the sake of it being the worst! :runaway:

Not to be too shilly but I think just about everyone wears OR drysuits too fwiw.

Ocean Rodeo Rise's wanted - mine stolen

Hi everyone, My 10m and 12m Rise kites were stolen in the fall and I'd like to replace them. I REALLY loved those kites. Haven't found any for sale since. If I can't find Rise's, does anyone have any other suggestions for high aspect ratio kites that fly really forward in the wind window? Anyone fly...

Re: Fatality in Long Island, NY

Ditto on the light wind death loop. My worst injury was on a 10 knot day in the shallow flat water of Oliphant in Ontario. I was the only one out riding and I was doing these lazy bankroll transitions back and forth, back and forth. I don't know how it happened but I must have pulled with the wrong ...

Re: Spots Closed by Beginners and Accidents

+100 Billie! Some Kiters really think it impresses people to come in Close to swimmers and show their Tricks. I got news for Em. People don't give a Rats Butt about some FAN BOY showing off. Same as someone having No baffles in their Motorcycle exhaust or their Car. The only person it impresses is ...

Re: Kite School Start Up

Just a quick suggestion to put your location somewhere on your website, preferably on the home page. Hoxton Special?

Most of your business will come through online searches like "kiteboarding lessons in <city or beach name>"

Re: Richard Branson and Best investor buy PKRA

We really should be careful what "we" wish for. Why does everything always have to grow and grow and grow? Sure, if you are in the business of it, it has to grow. But as someone has already said, the decent riding areas are already having problems with too many riders and too many new riders...which...
