Am sure I recall Fanatic kites back in the day - flat design with inflatable leading edge and battens as struts ?

Looks like there are two separate requirements here: Firstly, a user friendly ladies learning/intermediate kite - secondly, a high wind kite that will satisfy a more experienced (male) rider. For sure if you are limited to your existing kites bring the 8.0. If you ride a directional you may find the 8.0 too big on quite a few occasions - but then you can go out earlier in the day as the wind generally peaks from around 3pm.
