Re: Flysurfer Soul

"But the Soul does currently have the best relaunch and takes on the least amount of water compared to all the other models/brands." Adventure Logs what tests are you basing this statment on? I fly Concept Air Pulsion LW, Wave and FireFly and have no issues with water relaunching. Horst has stated t...

Re: Pulsion 18m

My favourite bar to ride the Pulsions in light wind is the Gong 69 cm (it comes with 27 m lines plus optional 5 m extensions). I know most kiters perfer shorter bars, but for light wind KBH I find this set up works. The only downside with the Gong bar is the center line swivel is hard to use.

Re: line knife or hook knife, slightly bigger one recommendations

I have posted this previously. Here's my favourite. Titanium (less rust), super sharp. I tape the blade and only need the Hook. I contacted the company to make a knife with hook only but my suggestion fell on deaf ears. It's expensive but it will last forever, and I figure my life is worth it.

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

Agree with them junebug - a Peak4 flies as easy as any LEI kite, and hangs better than any conventional foil kite, besides, it does not bowtie like bigger foilkites, never fold the tips or anything - so in this respect they are really a no brainer to fly. But a Peak4 kite is nothing like other foil...

Re: Buying advice

KR a Foil in the 2000 - 2500 cm is not huge for WF. I (72 kg) have a strong Windsurfing, KBH, WakeFoil background. I was lucky enough to burrow a friends 7'2" Inflatable board and 2400 cm and I spent about 5 sessions on it until things really clicked. I ride in a spot where there are constant small ...

Re: Facial injury

I would suggest starting off with getting a Custom made Mouthguard with your Dentist. One of my Kite Buddies ('expert' KBH, TT) wears his every session. I use my when Snowkiting or any extreme conditions. Your Dentist will make sure it fits properly and is comfortable. It will last for years if you ...

Re: wing skate - land wing

How do the kitewings manage in inland winds? I’m a kite landboarder who flies at the beach and I have borrowed/flown Skimbat KiteWings in the past on nuking days in smooth winds at the beach. Wings have interested me since the early 2000s for kite skating in the winter but I’ve never pulled the tri...

Re: Incredible Lofting Story From The Great Lakes

I was not present the day the accident occured but from eye witness accounts (one kiter on beach one in the water close to Jason). Jason was on a 6 m Foil kite (appropiate for the pre-squall conditions) My Kiter Buddie on the water started to head back to shore before Jason When the Squall hit my Ki...

Re: Flysurfer Peak 4

PS: Have never tried the Conceptair Firefly 6 m2, so don't know if just as good or better. They are unfortunately not really accessible here... . 8) Peter Yes, it would be interesting to try the Peak 4 6m back to back with the FireFly V2 6m. I was also got out yesterday KBH in ~ 13 kts. Other KBHer...
