Starter Board WingSUP

I have an old BIC NOVA windsurfing board. It turns out it is ideal to teach people how to Wing Sup. The board is very wide and stable (165 l). The large fin allows for some tracking but I normally teach beginners doing Downwinders. If you have an old wide Windsurfer then learn to Wing on that first ...

Re: Wingsurfing - Intel - forum topic?

I see Winging exploding in popularity for the masses when the SUP companies produce more boards that are wider and have a fin (fins) that allow for up wind SUPing. Then Snowinging (skis, skates) on frozen lakes and fields in the Winter season.

Re: Tips for knee starting or water starting

In case anyone is wondering, the smaller the board that you can stand on, the lower the winds needed to get on foil. So my 5'1" 90 liter, I can pump onto foil 6-8 knots, if I'm on a 7 foot board, then I better have a solid 12-15 cause the more material in front of you the more negative effect on th...

Re: Tips for knee starting or water starting

I started Wingboarding last week. My Wing buddie lent me his F-One 7'6" Inflatable and Naish 2400 for a couple of sessions. I then went on a 6'6" 127 l and 1950 cm foil which I will keep until I progress more. If you are aiming for light wind Wingboarding then the F-One 7'6" and a 2400 cm foil would...

Flying Dutchman - Stunning Wing Video

One of the best produced Wing videos I have seen

Alan Cadiz is Winging with the Duotone boom Wing. Who are the other Wingers?

Play it on your TV (Chromecast) for best effect.

Best Exercise for Wingsurfing

I have found the Turkish Get Up covers all the muscle groups for Wingsurfing. Try it but start with light weights.

Re: Board Leash Connection

The belt length is adjustable (one size fits most). The coiled leash length when stretched should be slightly longer then your Wingboard so you can easily pass the board under leash if in the water and need to rotate the board.

Board Leash Connection

I don't like to have my board leash connected to my leg. I found this kayak rescue belt comfortable to Wing with. Velcro leash to back of belt and it can slide from side to side. Easier to keep coiled leash away from my legs. It has an emergency release on the front. https://www.levelsix.ca/collecti...

Re: Should Toby start a crowdfunding to save KF?

Toby your sponsors need to know that 50% of my kiteboarding buying decisions are based on knowledge I get from Kiteforum. I have a garage full of gear.
I start every morning visiting KF.
