Re: PFD for kiteboarding

You can also check out the white water kayak PFD's if you want something Coast Guard approved with pockets, knife holder, etc.

Re: Keswick Clarendon Beach Closure

GleenwoodPark.jpg I am a Local Kiteboarder in the area and it is frustrating to see other kiteboarders not respecting the park rules, so I can see Eain's (good kiter) concern. As stated about 8 years ago a favourite Local Kiteboarding spot was banned to Kiteboarders and Windsurfers without consulta...

Re: 12 vs 15m for Marginal

At 86 kg and big wind I would look at the 15 m for your biggest light wind kite.
I am 72 kg with a big wing and thought I would want a 15 m foil but spoke with Ben at CA and he convinced me to go 12 m Pulsion LW and he was right, but for you at 86 kg go 15 m LW.

Re: FS Soul 15m or 18m for very lightwind foiling

I am 72 kg, large wing and initially I wanted a 15 m foil as my super light wind kite but Ben at Concept Air convinced me to get a 12 m LW Pulsion. I am glad I took his advice. I am fine in 6 - 10 kts and wouldn't want to be out in any wind that is lighter since below that in my area I have the chan...

Re: setting up foil kite in the water

Glenn L at our local lake is the water Foil kite launch Master. He has been using Foil kites for the past 20 years. We have terrible launch areas at most of our kite spots. Glenn safely water launches and lands in 6 - 30 kt's. He rides mostly Foilboards and surfboards. I will try and film him in the...

Re: Vacuum bags

I have used vacuum bags in the past but I think you are better off using kite compression bags.
More durable. don't need use of vacuum while on vacation.

Re: Cuba or Colombia in March

Both choices are good. Santa Lucia. Cuba (safe sandy bay, 4 all inclusive resorts -food, liquor, airport transportation, which you can kite from, Kite School and Gear rental at Caracol) Look for an inexpensive direct package from Toronto ( May be able to get a cheap direct flight to T...
